We're preparing for another election this year.

Of course we aren't sure it'll be so soon

    We'll see what Jeremy decides.

I've just been chatting to every rich person in the country. They all said they're still rich & looking forward to another 5 years of the Tories in charge.

I did point out there were some people on bulletin boards that were very angry but they just laughed & said who cares.

PS they said please make sure that Corbyn bloke stays in charge so Labour lose next time as well :j

    I give it 5 months.

Haha Jezza gets to decide what flavour homemade jam he'll make this week. Nothing much more.

Interesting. I'm intrigued why you think the Tories would call an election in 5 months if there was any chance they could lose it.

What you & other's are failing to grasp is that what the Tories like most of all is to be in power. If you're waiting for them to tear themselves apart & give it up you're in for a disappointment.

We had all this talk in 2010. It was followed by 5 years of Tory-led Government and then an election that they won.

Made a few quid backing my local Labour MP to hold his seat, couldn't believe the bookies generosity 5/2. The Lord Ashcroft poll had the Labour guy favourite, they also predicted the overall gap between Labour and Con (2%) :-)

I'm suggesting they may not have a lot of choice.

You are within a few rebel votes of losing any parliamentary debates, and it's likely the first law that won't pass will be the Great Repeal Bill. Ken Clarke is unlikely to vote for it and I can see there being significant opposition to allowing a few people the unchallenged ability to change laws, which will be in contempt of court rulings from last year anyway.

There's also the potential impact of any legal action taken against the partnership on the back of the specifics of the makeup. Remember that Northern Ireland doesn't have a power sharing agreement at this time.

You are confident, I get that, but don't be over-confident yet, as I'm very analytical, and I've been proven to be right against the odds before.

As I say, lots of similar talk in 2010 of why it couldn't possibly work. But it did and it can again.

Anybody who is seen to be frustrating Brexit does so at their own peril :)

That wouldn't be the ones that live in Kensington though, would it?

looks like a formal coalition deal is what May wants

"Promises likely to be made by Mr Williamson and the prime minister are likely to concentrate on the Northern Ireland implications of Brexit.

In particular, they will pledge to try to ensure that customs and immigration checks will not be introduce between Northern Ireland and the Republic, and that there will be no new restrictions on free movement between Northern Ireland and the British mainland.

There are concerns that the rest of the EU may insist on customs checks between Northern Ireland and the Republic."

This cannot happen, allegedly we voted brexit on immigration and security, yet May is offering a soft border - rediculous
