its the left who are saying we shouldnt be racist or islamophobes etc etc. well it is islam that is causing this problem as it is brainwashing the young muslim into doing these terrible things.
this means the solution must start with the muslim community to prevent teach that certain parts of islam (the violent parts) should not be followed. i am not sure if this is being done but i imagine the left prevent from this sort of discussion from happening.
we need to desperatly identify and agree that it is islam that is the problem and the muslim community need to do more or even more then they are doign as clearly it is not working.
with regards to religion - well religion is only a tool. of course it is all BS however it is still used to keep people sane. it gives people purpose and a meaning to life. i think even athiests eventually will believe in some form of religion or at least beliefs that includes some form of a "god", when they are on their death bed most likely.
its a tool that has been used for thousands of years and unless there is another tool to replace it, religion isnt going away anytime soon.
It actually isn't just the Left asking you not to be a racist. And you can be opposed to religion on the grounds that it's a baseless fairy tale used to control people, without being an islamophobe.
Ultimately we can spend as much time and money as we like poking through people's lives in Waltham Forest and it won't change the fact that Islamic fundamentalism is funded and propagated, for the most part, by Saudi Wahhabism. Something you and I are forced to bankroll every time we fill up our cars because the White House would rather that than have Iran and Russia ascendant in the Middle East.
Trump promised to cut them off, as both he and Theresa May have now been grovelling to the House of Saud, renewing contracts to send them billions of Petro dollars and selling them enough arms to level the Home Counties (which incidentally they would quite like to do), I assume this now isn't happening.
Jeremy Corbyn is the only politician who has been honest and frank about the causes of Islamic terrorism and its route through the Middle East. It isn't just because they vaguely hate our values. It's partly because there are reasons they hate our values and partly because we keep funding their hatred.
I want police back on the streets, I want our conventional military back up to strength so our squaddies aren't having to buy their own kit, I want Sure Start, education and employment back in marginalised immigrant communities and I want arms sales and the cash funnel to the despotic funders of terrorism in Saudi cut off.

Picking the bones out of this...
"Portugal's socialist Prime Minister Antonio Costa confirmed last Saturday that the government is ready to approve the recapitalisation of CGD, although he didn't know how much that recapitalisation would cost."

"Finally, while Portugal is fully funded (e.g. has enough cash) for the rest of year, in the event of a credit downgrade, it would have to run down its cash reserves"

You mean they have borrowed more than they can afford and yet ...they have 9.8% unemployment and average earnings of €11,800.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!

In case you can't remember they promised to clear the deficit by 2015 and then 2020 (and a couple of the years in-between).
A work in progress wasn't the promise.
I doubt he can also remember the manifesto commitment to keep the UK in the Single Market.
Attempting to remove us from it in any form, then throwing a strop and calling an election wasn't the promise either
In other news:Outside 10 Downing Street, just 12 hours after the London Bridge attacks, she declared that “there is far too much tolerance of extremism in our country” and said we must “deny any safe spaces for the extremists” and assert “the superiority” of British values.
Yes, lets start by stopping the far right extremists in the Conservative party and UKIP, asserting the superiority of British values to recreate the tolerant Britain that existed before last year.
Finally something I can agree with Mrs May on 💙💛 💔0 -

Nelson Mandela was a terrorist in his own country, yet the rest of the world viewed him as hero and a freedom fighter.
Er -we celebrate the fact Guy Fawkes failed!
Robin Hood is more legendary than fact based, it seems.
NM like some closer to home in Ireland and the GFA, renounced that earlier violence, and then pursued his aims to end Apartheid through negotiation.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!

A furious interview on Sky News with Peter Kirkham, former Met CI. He says Theresa May is lying about there being more police on the streets in the wake of yesterday's attacks.
He said she was well aware numbers were falling when she was Home Sec and there are no more armed officers than in 2010.
12 hour shifts are being stretched to 16 hour shifts and rare leave days cancelled. He says they are at breaking point and if the attack had happened elsewhere in the country there would be no additional man hours to call in as forces outside London are 'threadbare'.
The government cannot continue running our police force like this.

You forget that the UK has been a place that people have moved to well before the EU even existed. Every new wave faced it's own challenges.0 -

I'm taking a bet that the younger generation ('young' being anyone younger than I am these days) are going to be out a lot more than before, leading to a stronger Labour turnout than planned from the editing of figures (they're all very close before adjustments).
A lot of people I know (including myself) voted Conservative in 2015 and won't be voting Conservative this time, ranging anywhere from early 20s to an 85 year old man I was at the hospital with today.
I will be voting for whoever is most likely to remove my MP from his seat, which will be either Lib Dem or Labour at the moment. Labour are currently ahead in this constituency, however it's too early to call.💙💛 💔0 -

There have been three unlawful killing by police verdicts since 2005. 14 Police have been killed in the line of duty in the same timeframe.
You apparently would rather many unarmed officers died trying to reason with the perpetrators of evil as they wield their weapons. That makes you one among a very few IHMO.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!

but if islam states to be violent to non believers then surely its the "good" muslim community who needs to reach out to prevent the violence.
A large proportion of the information received by M15 does come from muslims. The real problem is that with an estimated 30,000 extremists, not everyone can be watched 24/7.
The bomber in Manchester had been reported to M15 by muslims."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
And the lib dems promised to not increase tuition fees.
And before that Gordon brown told us that there was no more boom or bust.
