Out of interest, why do you think it is likely Tory voters won't turn out?

I would have thought Tory voters are very likely to turn-out. They have solid support among the older generations who turn-out (despite tanking among the young and among working age people).

Likely as a result of their care pledge and subsequent u-turn. That is one policy of a few that there is little support for in my experience. There is a lot of discontent among a number of Conservative voters of all ages. I haven't necessarily agreed with all policies however after the last 18-ish months, I'm unlikely to ever vote Conservative again in my lifetime. How many others feel this strongly I don't know, however I'd suggest it's a fair few.

Of course, there are defections back from UKIP to Conservatives to consider, however on the whole also, the Labour vote has held up better in reality than many polls were saying at the time of by-elections, too.

Just a reminder, as I don't know if you've seen me post this before; I live on the wealthier side of my constituency, which is one dependent on the single market both through commuting city workers and an international airport where a foreign airline is the biggest customer (so the single market indirectly provides work for a large proportion of my local social circle). I don't know if that has skewed what I'm seeing at all, however likely not.

This would suggest that we vote for the least ambitious party, since their scr*w ups would not cost us as much.

The Tories promised to clear the deficit and didn't. When it became apparent this was too ambitious a target they could have said so. Instead they repeated the promise, knowing it wouldn't be achieved, thus converting it from failure to reach a stretch target to bare faced lie.

And the lib dems promised to not increase tuition fees.
And before that Gordon brown told us that there was no more boom or bust.

..and that's the closest you'll get to admitting Osborne lied.

I suspect because your scrutiny of lies is impacted by the colour of the tie the liar wears.

I find it amazing how most politicians walk away when they fail to deliver instead of fronting up and resolving the faults.

It seems a rinse and repeat goes on to try and not tarnish the party name

You really should pay more attention if you're going start airing your suspicions. Although on second thoughts maybe not, since your third-rate mayo clone act is becoming increasingly entertaining and desperate.

Our friend from Manchester must think we are dumb that we can't see through him and his sock puppets - I've no idea why he keeps it up?

May was talking today about longer sentences, reforming the internet and changing the culture of ethnic communities. That is not opportunist ?
I ageee, both speeches yesterday which tried to bring in party politics into what should have just been a simple condemnation and expressing thoughts for the victims and thanks to the emergency services were in poor taste.

Otherwise as a politician you are saying 7 people died today and I am looking at how I can use that to increase my vote - does that sound right to anyone?
    I think....

Nope. He would have done himself a favour by shutting up.
