You are quite fixated on how high functioning your autism is. This is dangerous.

Sorry but you are not high functioning in MANY ways. You are not high functioning socially. You are not high functioning emotionally. You are not high functioning in the workplace.

You either dwell on how much 'better' your siblings are, or how much 'better' you are than 'low functioning' people with ASD.

Stop comparing yourself to other people, for better or for worse, and work on your flaws and your failings in order to get what you want.

You say youre high functioning, but to get a job and a girlfriend you are not high functioning in the slightest, sorry to say.

What do you mean im not high functioning to get a job and a girlfriend

You are struggling to get a job due to your issues. You are struggling to get a girlfriend because of your issues.

I used to teach, and I had many autistic children, Many of their parents were fixated on how 'high functioning' they were in terms of intellect and ignored the fact they couldnt speak to anyone, or hold a conversation with another child etc.

"High functioning" is a term which shouldnt be used, as clearly in your case this is not a true assessment of your abilities, and you are using it as a stick to beat those 'low functioning' people you want nothing to do with (as evidenced earlier by you not wanting to associate with them)

If everyone who is not autistic looks at you the same way you look at those you deem to be lower functioning than yourself, then you have absolutely no chance. Think about it that way. Unless you find someone with the exact same presentation of ASD as you, you'll always either consider yourself above them, or below them.

You have to stop comparing yourself to other people. It's not a good thing for you mentally. It will just drag you down. You have to just think this is for me. I am a good person.

Stop comparing yourself to your siblings. Not everyone is the same so your path maybe different.

Im struggling to find a job because no one will employ me not because of my issues, i am struggling to find a girlfriend because no girl actually wants to come up and talk to me, again not because of my issues.

What do you really expect me to do then, your really just saying i should just give up and accept the fact my stepbrother has won

This isnt what I am saying at all, and I think you know this.

If it isn't your autism that is stopping you getting a girlfriend and a job, then what is it?

Why don't girls want to come up and talk to you? Do they look at you and think 'well he looks nice but I reckon his stepbrother who I dont even know about is cooler so I shan't bother talking to him.'

This poster just private messaged me and was very rude. I have been on here for years and have never been spoken to in the way he just did to me, it was disgusting

    I apologize.
Sometimes my advice may not be great, but I'm not perfect and I do try my best. Please take this into account.
