Thank you AdventureWanted.
This afternoon i have started an updated SOA ready for Jan using averages from YNAB for the last 6 months. Got a few bits to go through. I also want to write down everything and go through each at a time to see if anything can be reduced.
I've checked the vouchers and we have
£292 on a L2S gift card
£170 in L2S vouchers
£126 TCB mr T voucher
£20 DH work christmas vouchers, I used mine online, he has been shopping but 'forgot' to use them (they are a pain to use as it's a £1 off for each £5 spent so he doesn't like messing about at the till but they expire in 2 weeks).
So a bit more in vouchers than i thought.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Evening. I've spent today sorting the bank accounts ready for the new year. I've restarted all the budgets for things like clothing, food and gifts as had lost track of them a bit over Christmas. Anything left in any of the accounts tomorrow should have been an extra payment off the cards but while I'm still off work I'm going to keep it in a savings account for now in case I have to top my wages up.
It has been a NSD, I haven't even got dressed. DH is picking bread and milk up on his way home so tomorrow won't be but won't be much spent.
Can't believe tomorrow is the last day of the year already.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Evening. DH spent £16 this morning. I have now cleared all the accounts in to savings ready for a new year.
I'm not expecting huge debt reduction this year. The children are getting older and I want to spend as much family time as possible, hard to believe in 6 months my first born will officially be an adult! I think I'm going to try to set a goal of a 5k debt reduction but won't have any PPI payouts this year to help.
Well DH has just got out of the shower so I better go get the younger ones in then start tea (Just buffet food today).
Wishing you all a fantastic new year xLBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Thank you Wannabe. Wishing you all the best, too x
First NSD of 2019. Took all the decorations and tree down today. After going to bed at almost 1 this morning, DD3 was up at 7. DH got up with her but she's had a nap so now everyone is in bed and she's supposed to be watching tv with me (She hasn't shut up yet).
Need to look at some goals for this year to keep us on track. I'm thinking maybe..
- Reduce debt by 5k
- Not gain any more weight (Losing would be a bonus but I've put a stone on through snacking since being off work so should save money too, we have all been playing with the bmi calculator today and DH, DS1 and myself are definitely s in need of smaller meals ).
- spend some time each week together as a family (I've realised this week how long it is since we all did something together). But as cheap as possible.
- 122 NSD's. 1 at least every 3rd day. 1/122 complete.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

The financial progress is looking good! Wow - all those vouchers... they will come in very handy.
What a lovely resolution, to spend time together as a family. What will you do? My family loves board games and even those who didn't use to like them sometimes get drawn in. In summer maybe do some gardening or DIY stuff. Even watching telly together is a bonding experience so long as all involved want to.
I hope you get some peace about work, whatever you decide must be something you can live with. And I hope 2019 brings you lots of good things.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thank you Cherry. I know, they're our park hamper vouchers but because I haven't been out they didn't get used.
I'm hoping more things like board games, I've always bought a couple of new ones each Christmas but last year's are still unopened as 'they're not as good as computer games'. DD1 did ask to play monopoly Christmas day but we were doing dinner and the younger ones wouldn't play, maybe if we play, they might. Even just a walk all together, the last time was on holiday and it is one of my CBT goals to go for a walk.
Dd3 has just gone to bed with Dd2 who had come down for a drink so off to try and get some sleep.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Just a quick post to say today was not a NSD. I didn't leave the house but managed to spend £23 on cat supplies for the month. About £90 on a food shop coming in the morning and £37 on a takeaway as the cupboards are bear and I was supposed to have done the shop for today. I did manage to use DH £20 of work vouchers off the food shop.
I've also managed to munch through half the giant bar of chocolate my mum brought me for Christmas (but we have ran out of sugar so I've saved about 16 spoons going in my tea each day for the last 2 days, it's quite scary when I think about it!).
So only day 2 and not a fantastic start to the goals!LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
