Our holiday was brilliant, thanks.
Have you been to Eden before? It was incredibly busy when we went so I wished I'd done my homework and been able to focus intelligently on a couple of things or so rather than whatever we felt we could see best.
Well done to your daughter! Such a confidence booster! I hope she enjoyed the takeaway.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thought i'd come and dip my toes back in...
I need to face up to looking at the bank accounts and sorting them out. Spent way more than planned before the holiday, waterproof coats, trousers and walking boots/wellies for 7 wasn't cheap and the weather wasn't quiet as forecast and they were only needed for 1 day, although wellies were worn for paddling in the sea.
We didn't actually spend that much while away, a few pasties and ice creams while out but all meals were made in the caravan and we took packed lunches on walks.
We haven't spent a lot since we got back either. So hopefully we can build the accounts back up a little.
Before we went away i was struggling with my health after stopping my tablets and had a few panic attacks after 2 weeks off work, i then returned to work and they started again to the point i was sat on the warehouse floor in tears. I was signed off for 2 weeks. I'm due to return Wednesday but i'm still struggling. I spoke about going back with DH yesterday and had another panic attack last night and still shaking now.
So need to be extra careful with money in case we don't have my income for a few more weeks.
Need to make a start on Christmas too,While i'm struggling to leave the house i think it's all going to have to be online shopping.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

I'm sorry to hear about the panic attacks, how have things gone since you posted? It doesn't sound as though you were ready to go back to work.
Christmas shopping seems to be a big feature on this board at the moment for some reason...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thank you Cherry. I was signed off for another 3 weeks. I had a meeting at work on Friday, only got the letter Thursday afternoon and it caused another big panic attack. I've agreed to go back on shorter hours when my note runs out but i feel sick every time i think about going back. I've still only left the house for that meeting and the girls first dance show on Saturday night.
DD1 had her driving test this morning and failed it on something the instructor said she probably shouldn't have failed for. I've booked her next test for her but it's not until the end of Jan.
I've updated YNAB as best i can then had to just 'reconcile' the accounts for what i couldn't remember where it was spent.
Right,I'm going to do an account check and update that and then i better start some dinner before DH gets back from Gymnastics with the DD's.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

I think you must need that time off. I hope having that breathing space will help, especially as you have been able to get out to something nice.
Poor DD, what a nuisance. I'm sure she'll pass next time, sounds as though she's pretty good already.
I'm just picturing your DH doing gymnastics with his daughters. :rotfl: My DD was a gymnast for years so I became a bit of a fan, but your mention of it reminded me of a video of Paul Hunt.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Good afternoon, now all the stress of Christmas is out of the way i need to get back to using the diary more often.
I am still not well, still off work and have only left the house for the doctors, counselling and last Wednesday when i attempted to go back to work. I'm due back on the 11th but not sure what will be happening yet so need to get on top of our spending. I really need to talk the options over with DH as i am already panicking over going back.
I have gone over (money) budgets on both Christmas gifts and food this year but I still have a huge amount of vouchers to use as i haven't left the house to use them, about £400 worth (need to check as used a few in gift cards) and they can be used at a frozen food store so once i'm ready to leave the house the vouchers should keep the freezer stocked.
Everything is paid for the year so going to find my totals for this year.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
