  • James is here . He needed help getting wardrobe from van .
How weak and out of condition I am is apparent .
Never felt so helpless in my life . It kind of looks like my new life is split up in 3-4 segments . Not in one , as I was hoping .The first I've more or less achieved by moving etc. The next is getting the weight / health sorted out . After that , it's the job . Oh, and meeting new people .Can't believe July is only a few days away .

no hurry AC, just think how stressed/depressed you were feeling this time last year... how far you have come and personally I think you're v brave in upping sticks from where you knew :)
  • Thanks Anna :)
No denying this time last year I was stuck like a bluebottle in a glass box, and was struggling to get out . Far happier now already .
  • Eventful morning :)

Got up around 7am and immediately had to make space for James and the delivery of recliner . I'm stiff all over . I left hallway until James came as chair was not supposed to be here till p m
However I received a call around 915 and chair has just been delivered . I managed to clear hallway just before delivery guys came James arrrives same time . His children broke his iPhone . He will be getting replacement at my address today . He has just gone to get cash. Things are happening :)
  • Well.. James has completed wardrobe . It's in the smaller room .
He put shelving up . May need more .
Looks great . The sideboard in there looks great also, as I've mentioned . It means the gas room is now part gas room/ part storeroom / part music room . Nice to be able to walk in and out of it without trip hazards everywhere.

He also assembled a chest of drawers in the bedroom .
I think I now have all the furniture sorted .

Looking for a place to put my bass guitars ( apart from the obvious)
It seems that I may hang on various walls .
James has taken old table / chairs/ bathroom cabinet and a couple of electrical gadgets and is disposing of them .

The weekend will be spent unpacking and trying to get more organised .
At the moment , both of my settees are full with everything .
Good excuse to use the electric recliner :rotfl::rotfl:

There are still a few jobs for James .

I think the only other things to get are a few picture frames, maybe one large animal framed photo for the living room( not me)
and I think maybe that's everything sorted .

Gym tomorrow . Getting there slowly :)

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Sounds as if the new flat is coming along nicely AC.

Nothing wrong with a multi purpose room, we have several. My husband has what he calls a multi modality room which is our 4th bedroom. It is part study, part workshop (he was electronic engineer) and part hobby room. Our third bedroom is also used for several purposes - my piano and bookcases and dressing table are in there and the granddaughter sleeps in there when she is with us for the day plus all her toys are stored in there. Just making good use of space.

Cool! It's nice to have a practical use for everything . You seem very well organised :)
  • So , I had the intention of going to gym and doing one or two biits etc
Unfortunately, it's not been my morning . First of all, I haven't room to iron anything at present. Then I find myself walking like John Wayne hardly able to move . My guess is that it's because I was sitting in the new recliner yesterday . It's a bit like when you've done gardening and fall asleep on the settee instead of going straight into the bath. I managed to make it to the shop to get a few, groceries .

Not sure if James is coming round today . Not much more for him to do . Place is still a bomb site .
