No.....I agree we mustn't let them win. Life goes on and we mustn't let them destroy our freedoms by cowering in fear. That's what they want.

And let's face it, when your numbers up, it's up.

I was on Westminster Bridge a couple of weeks ago, stuck in a traffic jam.

AC. It's up to you of course......but you don't need to decide today. October is a way off yet.

Horrendous attack yesterday. My mum, sister and nephew and niece and my brother all live in London suburbs but thankfully all safe. All these terrorist attacks are scary but we can't let them win. We go up to London regularly and will continue to do so. I would go to your big AC and not let this disrupt your plans.

Are there no instructions for boiler/heating programmer?

  • Yeah, I'll be at the gig. Not being in London is making me lazy :)

I don't think there are any instructions enthusiastic . I'm going to tackle the jungle of a room shortly .

If you google the make and number on the boiler, you might find a manual online.

Londoners won't be cowed. I don't live there now, but I was born there and lived there for 35 years. A lot of that time was when the IRA were active. You just learnt to be vigilant. I remember being annoyed when they removed litter bins from the stations.

My mum, brother and eldest son live there still.

Do you know why Rammstein cancelled AC? I love them too.

Good idea regarding boiler gigervamp :)

The rammstein cancellation : similar to the I r a coded warnings .
The authorities heard strong rumours that something was gonna happen and cancelled as a security measure . Something like that .
It's a 3 day festival ( or was) . The other 2 nights may well have went ahead . Amazing that there's more than one person on this thread that likes rammstein .:) Reminder to myself : go on iTunes and purchase the Paris live set . I can download the cd cheap from a website when flat is sorted .

I am sitting in the gas room , on a large computer chair .
What I have done so far, is clear out the stuff that is not needed in that room for now . The large record cabinet is on the opposite side for now. I've stacked about 20,000 box files on it . If I. Oils manage to keep it , it would hold all my vinyl. I will be getting a small wardrobe for that room , so it'll have to be moved again this week.

James is back with the wardrobe and shelving this week .
I was hoping to get bright yellow shelving but it's hard to get and rather expensive so I'm sticking with white .

Got a small surprise this morning around 7.15 am .
I heard someone shouting 'woo hoo' :) I was wondering if the people outside could see my bedroom through for blinds . I couldn't see out so maybe they couldn't . I'll have to check later :)

Check when it's dark. Switch the light on and go outside to see if you can see in.

Do you really need a second wardrobe? Wouldn't a chest of drawers do?

    Thanks for that gigervamp :)
It's gonna be a combination of small wardrobes and chest of drawers , spread between both rooms . My bed says no to an ordinary size wardrobe , meaning I have to think of another solution .

Why on earth do you need 20000 box files?:rotfl:

Most of our bills are now paperless so very little paperwork beyond the usual - tax coding notices, passports, payslips and any contracts we have signed for services so we know when they expire. The rest is saved on our laptops (and backed up on a portable hard drive). I keep manuals and guarantees for equipment and appliances and those take up 2 box files. Our safe holds all our personal and private stuff to do with investments and banking in one folder and our passports, birth certificates/marriage certificates etc etc.

Can you go through these box files and decide if you really need all this stuff? Old pension statements are no good for keeping, I just keep the current ones and shred the old ones. My brother used to keep all of this old stuff until I said just get rid of old electricity/gas bills or scan them if you really want to keep them and just keep current bills, statements or go paperless.

I'm another one who only keeps the last statement and destroys the previous one. Once a year I go through all my paperwork and destroy anything that I might have missed.
