I've quit everything. Now what ?

AC. I think you need more protein in your diet. I know you can't eat a lot of veg, but try looking at the paleo diet. (As in paleoithic, ........what our cavemen ancestors ate).

Meat, fish, poultry, game, eggs whatever green stuff you can cope with, nuts, seeds, fruits like berries etc. Although not strictly paleo I think some dairy is beneficial for calcium, but cut right back on all grains.

It will help you lose weight and give your body the protein it needs.

You can eat bacon and eggs till it comes out your ears......

Dont how much a clean will cost, it's only a two bed flat so shouldn't be too much.

Then you can just walk away and forget about it.

Just called the lettings guy . I would say that I would probably have to pay £100-150 max depending on how much the landlady is gonna create . If that's all then I may as well pay and move on .
As LL said , it's in the contract so that's fair enough .
I'll go in tomorrow and have a brief chat with the letting co and pickup the paraphernalia I left behind . I left the inventory on the table , and expected her to go through it . That didn't happen . She was over half an hour late and I had to go backwards and forwards trying to balance between her arriving and me squaring up with the scaffolder .
I'm more relaxed about it now .

I will look into this . I let myself go ( deliberately all last year and this ) knowing that my food will change also .
Next week could be the start. I'be run out of excuses now .

Nobody's perfect.......letting ourselves go is easy when we are ill, stressed, broke and exhausted.

But now is the time to put all that behind you and make that new start.

The right food, exercise, fresh air, and time for some FUN.

DS2 and his girlfriend are viewing the house with me. I have not yet celebrated their respective birthdays with them, so after the viewing I'm taking them to a fancy restaurant.

(I'm not driving so I dare say a couple of G&Ts will be on the menu)

Hi AC, hopefully the cleaning won't be too much. I recently arranged for a deep clean of my flat and it came to £39. I believe that end of tenancy cleans are a bit pricier but I would've thought £150 is excessive unless they are doing something like appliance cleaning or steam cleaning upholstery etc.

She did mention £50 or a bit more initially . The letting guy suggested I negotiate . So , I politely asked if she mentioned £50. She'll probably demand more now because her friend made me defensive and I was not the nice guy I usually am . Business is business . I've got to not take it personally . If I get below £100 it will seem like a result .

Half term this week so I'm dipping in and out!
Professional clean totally reasonable for landlady to request, other option is for you to get quotes and arrange yourself if you feel they are being unreasonable.

I'm on a mini break from Hampshire and come to North Yorkshire for a couple of days to stay with family. This afternoon we went to see a family friend who has a litter of 7 fox colour Labrador puppies - I'm in love 😍🐶 just keep telling myself it's not a good idea 😂
