I've quit everything. Now what ?

AC. Sounds like you have had a rude awakening to life in the "burbs".
Fortnightly waste collection, several different bins, refusal to take items that are not sorted into the proper catagories, charging for large items.
All par for the course.
As pointed out, at least there's only you, so once things are settled you should manage well enough.
Most people I know seem to do regular tip runs. Fine if you have a car of course.
Otherwise you find people tend to have fairly regular bonfires.
November 5th comes in very handy for pre Christmas clearouts.0 -
Thanks folks
I'm playing dumb regarding what I've put out there already . It wasn't me.
The rest I will tackle properly now that I know the rules .
I must be tired this morning , as my speech was stammering a bit on the phone calls I made to council tax and utility warehouse . Conbrrsation with mr. Carpet wasn't too bad . That's a side affect of m g .
When I get settled, I will look for the excercises given to me by the speech therapists in Richmond rehab.
Went to Poole to buy some cleaning stuff from wilko.
Also made another payment to james . Thought I'd do it as quick as I can as there will he heavy rain for the rest of the day .0 -

Our recycling collectors are very strict. If you have put stuff out and they have refused to take it I would put it in with your general waste or pay for waste collection or even small skip if you have a lot. Don't leave it outside to fester as that will not endear you to your neighbours.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Did you not notice the lamp-post prior to now?
If you have Venetian blinds (don't remember what you went for in the end) then twist them upwards instead of downwards, can't be seen then0 -

Good points enthusiastic
The regular rubbish collection is this Friday . Absolutely no room to put anything in there. Even the mice wouldn't fit .
I'm gonna wait till that has been emptied and then be the first to put stuff in there .
With the awkward stuff I've mentioned , if it doesn't get picked up, I'll contact the council and bite the bullet. Hopefully nothing will be said between now and then .0 -
seem to think you said your payplan call was the first week of June - hope it goes well0

I didn't realise there was any other option than fortnightly bin collections.Round here we have to do the walk of shame every fortnight;)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
