I hope you have set the money to clear the debt aside AC. It would be a shame if the very motivation for moving in the first place (ie to clear the debt) never happened because you run out of cash. Did you not bring a kitchen bin or kitchen stuff with you from Twickenham?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Hey AC. Lots going on, you sound very busy but making good progress. I hate throwing stuff away as well and have been forced into it by my partner since we moved. I've kept a few bits that she doesn't know about and put them in the loft
But got to admit it's nice without any clutter.
Do you subscribe to any of the music streaming sites? I'm thinking of getting into the 21st century and buying a wireless Bluetooth speaker but it would be best if I had Spotify or Apple Music. Never really understood it that much (I like a CD that is mine!) - any advice would be appreciated[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -

Hi copperjar
I had a productive Sunday making as much space in the small room as possible . The kitchen is almost there . Same with bathroom.
But ...more boxes ! I was.very tired in the afternoon and just zonked out in the chair and was too tired to do anything .
I have to tidy stuff up tomorrow incase James and furniture appear.
I honestly hope that nothing happens till weds/ thurs so I can clear some more stuff . I love the flat, it would really love it if I was clutter free
I'm not sure how much you intend to spend on your Bluetooth speaker . I went to HMV and bought a Marley get together for £99
Instead of £170. It was essential For my move into my last flat .
For the price , the sound is really good . If I had the cash, I would've went for naim cube or ruark . Both give you option for multi room etc
Regarding downloads : a few people will give you pointers
Before I moved I joined a Russian side called melodyshop. ( may have different spelling and I lost my password due to my upheaval).
The music is cheap as Chips and the quality is of the remastered variety. Excellent . It's worth joining Spotify premium for a month .
Sometimes you get a discount if you rejoin .
I haven't joined the Apple Music yet , but the quality will be top notch. A very big selection too . I may try it out myself..
Hope this helps0 -
Thanks AC. I'll have a look into those. I was wanting to spend about £200
but I must admit those Ruark speakers are very stylish! Might have to go on the birthday/Christmas list![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Hi Copperjar,
I have 3 Bose bluetooth stereos in the house and am v pleased with them.
We don't subscribe to any additional music just stream you tube etc through it. Do you have amazon prime? If so I know they do music streaming included (no idea how good the selection is though).0 -
Bose is cool !0

I don't listen to music enough to justify paying for a subscription service, so I use the free version of Spotify. I don't mind the ads, it's just like listening to a commercial radio station.0

Hope you're having a good day . I'm taking a break for a few minutes
At the moment the boxes and crates are winning .
Back to work this week AC
Keep telling myself only 5 weeks till summer holidays and 8 weeks off :T:T
It's a bit daunting isn't it - surrounded by boxes and if you're like me, most uninspiring!
My eldest daughter is home for Uni today, she's finished forever - 4 years in Newcastle done and dusted - very exciting new chapter of her life about to start. She'll be moving abroad after the summer so that will be hard for me.
