Hi everyone
Just a quick update, I am still sort of behaving myself!! Last week I spent 41.95 on bits and pieces and am now starting to buy the odd thing for going away on holdiay too, so far I am at 64.94 and so am well on target to come in at under 200.00. But after seeing the wee Tesco offer posted above, thanks Freyasmum, I feel a bit of an online shop coming on, well you can't have enough cotton buds can you?:j
Thanks for all your help!!!:T0 -
Hi Mrs Dave,
Thank youBut I can't take the credit, I got it from Martin's email and he, in turn, got it from an eagle-eyed MSE'r (sorry, can't remember his/her name:o ) who posted on the shop but don't drop.
The moral of the story? Make sure you've signed up to (and read, lol!) the weekly emailEvery little helps, haha.

Hi everyone....haven't contributed much to the board this month but have been avidly "lurking".
I am sort of on-plan at the moment, will update my sig very shortly. Had a bit of a "blip" when I went in Aldi - they had loads of their fabulous jars of pesto and scrummy antipasta, so ended up stocking up a bit and buying a couple of varieties that we haven't tried before, so that put the spend up a bit, but never mind, greed overtakes sense sometimes
It's good to see more "newbies" joining the challenge (says she who only joined a couple of months ago!)
Keep up the good work everyone!
Cheers

Well I will not come in under budget this month mainly due to buying all the tins of biscuits and roses (half price) for the family. I think I would have just managed it somehow but have just £5 to last until end of month but plenty of food still. Will need to buy fruit, veggies and milk so this month a dead loss but have cupboard full of christmas tins.0

Well..so far this week, have spent £4.61 on top-up bread & milk.
Just ordered my weekly shop from Tesco (for delivery on Saturday) - should be around £65 (so long as code for £10 is not rejected!) Will update further on Saturday! This shop includes a big box of nappies (Pampers - on offer at Tesco) aswell - so won't need those again this month!
Still think I'll go over budget this month, as will have around £40 left...unless, just had a thought - I could do a small shop next weekend to last me til Wednesday 31st, then order my BIG monthly shop to be delivered on the 1st. (therefore taking me into November's challenge;) )...I can see a plan developing...will go away & think about it!!:D20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Hi all:) I will begin my g.c. next month too. I have been shopping in Lidl these past 4 weeks now instead of online shopping with Sainsburys and we have saved a lot of money, so we are well pleased:) Our local store(Lidl) is easier to get around compared to Tesco and Sainsburys and it is good that you have to bring your own bags which is a great idea. There are so many great offers there and we just buy our meat from the local butchers. We buy our chicken from Lidl though as it is always lovely. I bought a few different packets of mixes e.g. Spagetti bol. sausage casserole mix chilli con carne chicken casserole etc and swopped them for their brands and they are so much cheaper, and tasted lovely and the whole family really like them so it all adds up:) I also buy a great big bag of potatoes once a week there and it does us . We are really impressed with the amounts we save each week so it makes shopping for food more enjoyable for me(honestly) as i know i have saved such a lot. I will never shop at Tesco again, or Sainsburys. Too expensive.Do a little kindness every day.;)0
