Well I have spent another £9, or there abouts.

I got two wee presents for Freya's christmas :)
Lots of canned and frozen veg and some other stuff that I can't remember at this moment

Still, I am well on target, so I'm very happy :)

Howdy Folks, hope Y'all tickityboo. Did my order to MR T yesterday using MySupermarket. Everything went through fine :j:j. Cost excluding SO's and delivery £68. I like the way one can view alternatives for cheaper alternatives, saved myself £8 by changing some products. However don't think I'll make target this month. Hey! Ho! There has to be at least one exception to prove the rule :D.

Good luck to all you tight fisted souls :)

well my visitor has been and gone and didnt eat a morsel whilst here, coffee and a fag for brekkie. We sat up so late chatting on friday, after being out for a curry, that we didnt wake up till just before a lunch date. Then just got home in time to get changed to go to DB,s anniversary do, which had a huge buffet. Again sat up late chatting and boozing (same as before but didnt like to mention) so just awoke in time to see her off on a breakfast date with her mum before heading to the airport. I got to eat the fancy bits I,d bought for the visit to myself. So half way through the month and halfway through the money, sounds ok to me

  • Hello everyone

Aren't you all doing well? :T I realise I have come to the October challenge a little late so I'm just going to keep a track of what I spend from now and use that as a basis for budgeting in November. Wish me luck! :o
    October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):
    Asda - £11.98
    Aldi - £10.36

Parking pot: £1.00 (everytime I walk into town instead of parking on pay and display, I put the money saved in a jar)

Hi all, I haven't joined in since August when I gave up trying to keep track of grocery spending because there were 8 of us in the house and plans changed day by day. We are now down to four adults and I have set a budget of £70 for the rest of the month. I have enjoyed reading how well you are all doing and hope to be able to follow your ideas and begin to save money again.
samsam potts good luck with your half month too :j

    Bon chance ma cher .
  • Thanks Poobear and MikeD for your good luck wishes! :D

Went to Asda today at our local town centre. Avoided the parking charge by parking on a nearby housing estate and walking in, then got most of the things on my list either on offer or in the reduced section :T hurrah!

Spent £9.78 and that included an unneccessary spend of £1.32 on two reduced tiramasu's which was naughty I know but its my FAVOURITE!!:p

I was shocked that the rice I normally buy is almost three times as much as the smart price stuff - how frivolous I have been :o I'm going to be a good girl from now on!

This week I have had my long awaited Oct payday - so can now join in properly.

Went shopping in ASDA on Monday night and got the bulk of my shopping. That came to £102 and also included some 'bits' for DD (who is pregnant and decided to join me shopping for a change - then borrowed £30 in the process!). It also included a box of hair colour (not been done since May - so I reckon I'm quite entitled to that!).

I bought one of those turkey drumsticks that somebody on here recommended so we will see what that turns into. They also had some of the diced turkey that we use for curries. One of my aims this month is to empty my main chest freezer (not that much left in it really now) prior to defrosting - but had to put some reduced price bread in it (hardly ever pass up on whoopsie bread!!!

    Hi all :)

Just been on tesco online. My total came to £34.13 and of that total, my mum spent £7.60 and I spent £3.80 for my business (just to get over the £30 mark, because I had a voucher for £10 off :)). So this takes my total down to £12.73 (including delivery) for:

10x 1.5kg doves farm strong organic wholemeal flour (74p each, thanks to lucyeff)
2x 300ml johnsons baby gold shampoo
4x johnsons baby soap 4 bar pack
2x jonhsons cotton buds drum (200).

I have so many johnsons products (and mum bought 5 lots, too) because of the current offer (buy two products, get 100 points) so I will be getting 900 extra points as well as my 'normal' and green points :). This takes my points total to over £50 :T

Just popped in to up date my signature. Went to Sainsbury's this morning and manged to spend just under the £35 I had available to keep on target. Still think I might not make it! But, on the plus side, I am out to lunch on Sunday and can feed the two of us out of the freezer till next Thursday when I will have the last £35 available to see us through till 31st.

I realise now that I over-ordered on the big non food delivery I had at the start of the month - too many loo rolls and dishwasher tabs and not enough wine! So I will be adjusting that when I do the next list at the beginning of November!

Keep up the good work everyone.
