Morning everyone, had a hectic few days and last night I slept for 14 hours which is completely unheard of for me but I must have needed it! Yesterday was my last ever uni lecture. Feeling a bit sad about that but it means I'm a step closer to my dream job :j Day off today, really hoping to make a dent in this packing and then hit the library tonight and have a good go at these essays. Todays plans:
• [STRIKE]Check bank account[/STRIKE] I've received a lovely little suprise of £24.30 from tv licence that I wasn't expecting. I'd love to transfer this to my savings but I'm not getting paid until Friday and don't like leaving my account at £0
• [STRIKE]Check FPL / Ashleigh / Number plate lotto / lucky phone[/STRIKE]
• [STRIKE]PAD[/STRIKE] £1.17 from purse into savings pot
• [STRIKE]B / L / D from cupboard[/STRIKE]
• Charge [STRIKE]phone / tablet [/STRIKE]/ laptop at library
• [STRIKE]Do some packing[/STRIKE] slowly but surely getting there!
• [STRIKE]Marinade chicken for tonight’s dinner[/STRIKE]
•[STRIKE] Tidy out freezer
• Wash / Hoover car
• Get electricity [/STRIKE]
• [STRIKE]Ask for boxes at Tesco[/STRIKE]
• [STRIKE]Update signature[/STRIKE]
• [STRIKE]Update spending diary[/STRIKE]
Have a great day everyone!

Hi Penny-wranglers,
Not a great deal of money saving stuff today, but am not going anywhere, so won't be spending. Have been busy this morning, just not on money saving stuff.
*Did laundry overnight on cheap tariff. Really worth it if you have the Economy 7 meters, as night time tariff is just under half the price of the day time one.
*All pegged out to dry on the line for free.
*Leftover sweet potato in the oven as I type for my lunch.....couldn't see another opportunity on this week's meal plans for using it & didn't want to waste it as we aim for zero food waste here.
*Dinner will be some of the spicy chickpea burgers I batch cooked the other week in home baked rolls.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*More sock knitting. I finished mr f's pair & he loved them. Have now cast on a pair in lovely yarn for B-in-L's birthday. Have turned the heel already on the first one, shall pick up sts & shape the foot tonight.
*Aiming for gardening session this afternoon. Plant babies in greenhouse will be watered & will finish clearing one of my big flower beds. Free fitness & will also be filling gaps with the free plants I've divided up. None of the big garden centre spends which I used to put on the plastic very regularly, I'm pleased to say.
OK, that's me, must go & investigate that baked potato.

Hiya
I wish - DH seems to think he emanates malodorous smells (which he doesn't), he baths every night and insists on using the sticks so he can see/feel a nice thick layer of anti-perspirant/deoderant on his under arms, he also goes through about half a tin of body spray and a 1/4 bottle of aftershave every day  :rotfl: thankfully he only uses "cheap" aftershave for work! But have had to stop him wasting the good ones on a night out as he douses himself once he is out of the shower, then sprays his clothes and if I'm still sitting at the dressing table sometimes tries to go back for a third spray  - managed to spot the pattern and now he doesn't get the third spray lol. Been with him for 7 years now, long past trying to get him to change lol!Debt peak approx £30,000  now debt free!!! :j
My parents always said "If you can't afford it cash, you can't afford it!" so true!.... mind you, turns out we can't afford much lol :rotfl:0 -

Did he get teased when he was little or something? Or perhaps someone said something to be unkind? My OH is a b*gger for showers and baths too (has been known to have 1 bath and 2 showers in the same day ) but that amount of deodorant seems a tad excessiveLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
No, he's a cop, i think it comes from years of wearing the uniform and body armour which does make you sweat - he's not been in uniform for years now as he's in a specialist unit but i think it's just become habit. :huh:Debt peak approx £30,000  now debt free!!! :j

Hi guys
Oh well Mrs LWW - worth a shot . Rok is really great, but it sounds like he's got his own habit going on
I'm half way through cleaning the bathroom so I'll get back on with that in a bit...
We're making the chicken tomorrow so we did pork stir fry tonight - there is still a portion for lunch and I'll be able to make something for lunch too with the leftover noodles...
I might do some more crochet later, but only after I've done my chores

Have you tried a multivitamin drink like borocca (I think that's how you spell it - but we have own label ones for DH
) he has been using them for about 6 months and has really noticed the difference.
Well, I was rudely awoken by the cat ejecting a fur ball. Trouble was he was on my bed  ejected him quick but not quick enough. So need to strip bed before work and remake so DH can go back to bed from night shift when he's home.
I will also:
Check banking surveys and FPL. 5p away from payout on 1poll so probably won't get any surveys for weeks. Been screened out last 2 days
HM soup to work, plus some fruit for snacks
Took a ys almond croissant out of freezer for sweet treat this afternoon but then remembered I made bread pudding last night so put croissant back and will take slice of pudding instead
Blitz beetroot so I can make chocolate and beetroot cake tonight
Make kale pesto if I have time before work again so I don't have to use blender tonight whilst DH is in bed
Hot drink for commute
Hang washing done overnight on line and second load I sneaked on on cheap (thanks cat :rotfl: silver linings and all that)
Something out of freezer for tea
Right, back later. Purps.
Right
Obviously no 1polls for me today as expected
but did cash out £3 p1necone and should get product to test too :T
£2.50 £co tracked and when I logged on to my account a further £15 bonus was too :T
DH £125 for switching banks has credited off debt :T
Was on one this morning and managed to change bed, make beetroot cake and kale pesto all before leaving for work. Half packet of beetroot frozen for next cake
Had bns macaroni from freezer for tea. Enough le over for both our lunches
Reserved book I wanted for 20p from library rather than buy it for £12
Managed to use nutribullet rather than big blender for cake and pesto with great success :T0 -
Hi all
Expensive hygiene habits, DS2 has decided that everything must be washed after one wear - anything else is "minging". No idea where this has come from but I really dont hold with the idea of everything being washed after one wear. He wore a sweatshirt and jeans for 4 hours on Sunday and has been told they have to be worn again.
Made lots of curry tonight (one extra for tea) and there is a portion left. It wont be wasted. Two lots of busy paid stuff, gym class, washing almost dried outside. Going to taken some YS pork out for tomorrow nights casserole.
Right, off to pack my gym bag for tomorrow, sort out the washing and get an early night.0
