You need bucket, bricks and hamster food - leave it in the room where you ast heard the rustlings with the bucket propped against the bricks (or books) at a steep angle. Put a bit of hamster food on each 'step' and at the bottom of the bucket.
If you are lucky the hamster will be able to come out from the wall and find the food - once found he should fall into the bottom of the bucket and have the sides not steep enough to climb out.
It might take a few nights and a bit of luck if he is in the wall cavity.

We think he sneaked behind the bath side panel, into the floor space and then into the wall.
We just had the insulation done a few weeks ago so it'll be all fluffy in there.
We'll be listening for him again tonight!

I know,
my son put him back in his house yesterday evening and we think he didn't click the lid down properly.
(It's a Rotastak system so there are no bars or anything he could have squirmed through.)

my hamster got out and stayed out for 2 weeks the last time - he will come back eventually so dont give up hope.
Also dont be too quick to think you didnt put the lid/door on properly - they are absolute sods for getting out and once they know how to do it it becomes a game. Get a travel padlock like those on suitcases and make sure that the door is closed - then even if it gets pushed open the hammy cant get out.
If he/she has got out once they will definitely do it again.
Good luck getting him/her back. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -

There isn't a door on this house though, there are twist and lock plug thingies that block where tubes can go.
Even if he had a hammer and chisel he couldn't have got one of those out unless dear son didn't twist it shut properly.
