  • Am I being pessimistic packing an overnight bag for my clinic tomorrow? It's just last time I went for a scan and I ended up spending the weekend there, so I don't want to get caught out again.

I'm hoping all will be well and I can go back to work, I've not even received my maternity certificate yet so it's not like I can pull forward my maternity leave if need be.

Baby 1982 bless him keeps letting me know he's ok, he's been kicking and hiccuping all day.

    Hi everyone.

Got called in to work today so not a moment to get up and running with everyone's news.

    Happy Birthday Learning to Save
Special hugs to Pooky - what very sad news. It is so much worse for all the loving people left behind who have to cope with such a loss.

Well done to Shez and the other weight shedders you must be really chuffed. Just picture that little Christmas dress or whatever!!! You will feel even colder though!!

Just read quickly through the thread as I have to cook tea for all and must go but special thoughts to all those who are feeling poorly sad or just plain fed up.

Gentle thoughts to those feeling alone

But congratulations to all those celebrating or about to by the sound of some nearly mums.

OS challenge of cupboards and freezer still going well and OH still busy up his ladder!

Thank you all you kind people who make my day !!! PenelopePenquin we could become the founder members of the love to be mentioned club. I was really amazed you remebered the link to the Scubas. MSE never got back to me about that-- shame I liked that name better.

Had a very quiet day - felt shattered after all the rushing around over the last few days so went back to bed this morning and a few hours extra sleep seems to have helped.

Made a huge pot of pea soup but used the hob instead of the slow cooker and DG helpfully pointed out that it had "caught slightly!"

Wanted to bake bread but someone has "tidied" my measuring cup for the breadmaker and I cannot find it anywhere - or the little knife I like for peeling veg.

Thoroughly fed up for no good reason so decide to come on here for a while till I summon up the energy to clear up the pots etc.

I love your blog. Ex sounds like a thoroughly silly and selfish man. If there is such a thing as karma you should be rolling in it (and he should be rolling in something else entirely).
Are you charging lodger for the internet and use of the computer - library is 75p per half hour!

    Happy Birthday LTS :bdaycake:

  • Evening everybody :hello:

Not been about for a few days - busy :o There's an autumnal chill in the air - I had to start wearing a scarf a couple of days ago!

((((((((Pooky)))))))) and everybody else in need of a hug.

Shez - BIG congrats on the weight loss. I haven't started yet :o My PruHealth cover starts this weekend, but I haven't yet received the welcome pack which will include the membership card I need in order to join the gym. I am really looking forward to starting, and the best thing about the PruHealth thing is that the harder I work, the more MSE it gets :D It flippin' well better had, because so far I seem to have spent an extortionate amount of money on things I need before I even start - I already had workout clothes and trainers, but I've bought two sports bras (my size doesn't come cheap :o) and a swimming cossie (ditto) The sports bras were the worst part - I'm not normally inclined to spend lots of money on something that's so HIDEOUSLY unflattering

I'm also on a mission to use up stuff out of my freezer. It seems to be stuffed full of chicken, fish and sausages :rotfl: and I must be able to do some imaginative things with them

PenPen - Carmina Burana? Eeeek. Top Gs for the altos and basses; top Bs for the sops and tenors  And lots of tricky rhythms. And the men get more fun bits to sing than the ladies. But it's a fab piece all the same.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of writing an article for the opera website I contribute to - so I must be off.

    Love Rzl xx

Anyone in the Cheltenham area recommend anywhere for Sunday Lunch, that uses fresh food, not stupidly priced, with both traditional and differnt menus, with good veggie options?

Trying to take DS out on Sunday, but the places he has found on the web are too fancy/expensive(in my opinion for a Sunday Lunch) for our tastes but his GF is veggie.

    Thanks

  • I am sorry - a really bad day at work. Not really looked at anyone. I logged on and didn't get much time to look. Not even phoned DD today for the update. I just hope her mastitis OK now she has medication. DGS3 was diagnosed with conjuntivitis yesterday!

There are bound to be some of you out there needing a hug which I send (to everyone by the way). Some of you on congraulations for yourself or your families.

DS just phoned to re-arrange family weekend as stag has changed. No problem as he will now see more of the family which is a bonus.

    Love and hugs

  • Hi, not been around much so hope everyone is ok and hugs to those who need one.

I've been busy at work over the past couple of days and we did some cooking with the little ones today. My DD1 is still away with the school and returns tomorrow and I can't wait to see her as I've really missed her. We found out today that she scored 90% in the music aptitude test that she sat last week. So the school she really wants to go to next year have invited her for an audition next week, I'm so proud of her! :D
DH and I are going to a fancy dress party tomorrow and my parents are coming over to babysit the kids. I'm going as Calamity Jane (Doris Day)and DH is going as Mel Gibson in the film Gallipoli. The theme of the party is to come as a movie star and I've always loved Doris Day!
Not much os over the next couple of days but i intend to catch up over the weekend, after my hangover!

Was wondering where you had been rzl? Yes I know sports stuff can be expensive. Ive managed to get away with a pair of sports bottoms I had from M&S and I had a couple of lycra running/cycle tops I got in Lidl's, also got a pair of running socks and jacket - they were cheap and really good!! Look out for Lidls when they are doing them! They often have bizarre stuff, like motorbike jackets, riding stuff, cycling, running etc.

I do find the gym abit boring, but I am getting good at reading the subtitle-text on the tv's now! :rotfl:

Busygirl - I love Doris Day too! that was my nickname at work! Love that film too! - have a "Whip-cracking" time at the party! yee haa! Hope you will post a pic in your Doris outfit??

Kyle - Fab news about the money!! Not long now till your holiday!!!!

((Hugs)) Elona and GB - hope things get better soon.

    chalky75 - i like the sound of that club:D
