    Morning all

Heating has gone on. DD woke up far to early complaining of the cold. Her bedroom is the coldest room in the house so theres not much I can do. We are both sat in the lounge under the blanket.

Plans for the day are lots of washing. The weather forecast has given sunshine all day so I want to wash and hopefully dry as much as possible. The first load is pegged out and the second is on already. Planning on making a big pot of chilli for tea and extra for the freezer.

Thinking that we might need to get a new microwave as well, I've suvived without one all summer but with the cold weather it so usefull for porridge and cocoa plus warming wheat bags. Tesco have sent me vouchers for £6 a £40 spend so I thought that I could get my shopping there this week and see if I could make it up with the microwave. Need to so some research first thought.

    Have a good day everyone

    Goodmorning everyone,

Woke up this morning to rain. Was bucketing down for most of the morning. DH arrived home around 11am as the site had become a swimming pool again. He was glad of the day off but now has to work the weekend. Fined up around lunch but it looks like another storm is brewing now. Made the cereal & a loaf of bread this morning & been doing a bit of yard work this afternoon but the mosquito's were too bad. Must be the weather atm.

    LTS Happy Birthday :bdaycake:
    Charlies' Mum Brrrrrrrrrr
jcr16 Hope the kids don't become too ill.

Well I better go and get tea ready. Making zucchinni :D slice tonight. Haven't made it in years but without the bacon. :p Might have it with salad as we've got about 100 lettuce all at once. Going to make lettuce soup tomorrow. That should get rid of 2 at least. Fruit & yoghurt for dessert.

Hope you all have a lovely day & ((((hugs))) to those that need one. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Happy birthday learning to save

Essex girl i have a great "posh cheese on toast /welsh rarebit recipe" if you want it digging out?

Joannasmum..thanks for the reminder... need to get hubby a basic microwave to take to work...(or i might have the new one and he can take the one from home:p )he hasn't got one in the place he works at the moment.. its so much easier to serve a 3rd meal up every evening and for hubby to have it "nuked" at work....and i know he has something to warm him up..he is mainly working outside, or in huge hangers -which are no warmer:rolleyes: ... he allready has one of those insulated beaker with the lid so he can carry his coffee where ever he goes... it was free with the nescafe :T and we now have another one... with how much coffee he gets through - we will end up with a set:rotfl:

Anniebooklover.. the weightloss thread is really popular, lots of support and tips being exchanged... Its lovely to be able to lose the excess weight whilst eating "proper OS food".. wish i had found out years ago that i could lose weight eating, steak pie, liver casserole etc...heck i could have been thin for years now :rotfl:

DLB... i love chatsworth...especially the farm shop;) , im from nottinghamshire, so that used to be a regular jaunt... its beautiful in there.

PP-hope your appointments go ok, and hope you start to feel better soon.. and hope your sis and DD/DS are settled back at home soon.

Sorry to anyone i have missed ..hugs to all who need one :D

Today is roast chicken, HM stuffing made with HM sausagemeat, new potatoes..and heaps of veggies

Well i had better get off and get something done... not much left in the way of housework at the moment...sure i will find something;) .. then its a rummage through my recipes for some new ideas, and then cross stitching me thinks

Hope everyone has a great day:D

    Morning All

It's freezing in this office. Think I'm going to put the heating on. Will probably get shouted at for doing so, but I'm used to that! For the first time this autumn, I'm wearing a big, thick jumper.

I'm officially sick now. I sound awful and my throat's still killing me. But other than that I feel ok. Just a bit achey.

Must get petrol today after failing to be bothered yesterday.

Happy Birthday if you're celebrating and everyone else - keep warm!!

  • :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: Good morning everyone!

Pink - I promise not to be so bouncy today :o

Aussie - enjoy your courgette slice :rotfl:

Anniebooklover - great to see you back posting  I think you recommended me to try Greenmetropolis - I owe you a huge Thank You - it's fab. Have you sold anything there?

dlb - I also love Chatsworth, and the story of Eyam is really interesting, and sad. There was a great novel written about the plague in Eyam a couple of years ago - I read it in one go :T

Pen Pin, anniestar, jcr, mrs mix and anyone else who wants one: (((((hugs)))))

    Happy Birthday LTS :bdaycake:

Chalky Leopard :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: Can I admit to being a sad person who's thrilled by a mention, too :p

It's choir tonight and we start rehearsing for our main Easter concert (Carmina Burana and The Armed Man, for anyone who's interested). I appear to be coming down with a cold, so hope my throat's up to it. Well, this won't get the baking done!

Have a great day, Penny. x

There is a massive big storm on the way here. :( You should see the colour of the sky and the rumbling :( Been storm warnings and to baton down the hatches. Hail is expected. I wish DD will come home soon. Will turn off the computers soon as the lightening starts up. I know we do need the rain  but not this way. I hate them, they are so destructive & frightening and they just crop up from nowhere.

If I go AWOL for a few days, you'll know we've lost power. Working on island time, repairs are slow. Frightened Aussie signing off. :D
