Well, im back from a trip into town and Tesco, spent money i dont have and ive now sat and stuffed my face, which hasnt made me feel any better!!! Not sleeping, im worried about money and its freezing outside, so im feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment!! But, i will be ok - i try to keep positive if i can but it is nice to have a moan every now and again!!!

Have parents evening later, DD has the same teacher as last year but it will be the first time ive met DSs teacher, so i hope everything will be allright there (im sure it will be).

Here on my own today, LO who normally comes on a Thursday is staying with her Nanny for the day, so it was nice to run around town without worrying about her - i also have the day off tomorrow which i am really looking forward to - i no longer have anyone on a Friday, which is lovely for a day off, but with money being so tight at the moment, im not enjoying it as much as i could be, but i havnt got any new ones yet, so not a lot i can do at the moment.

Well, thats about it from me, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Shez Here's the recipe for Zucchinni Slice which you MUST call it by that name and no other. :D

Grated zucchinni ( I used about 6 small ones)
    4 eggs
    1 onion, diced
    1 cup SR flour
    2 - 3 cloves garlic crushed
thyme & parsley (the recipe uses bacon but being veggie now just used this)
    1 cup grated cheese
    1/2 cup oil
    salt and pepper

Mix it all together & put in mod oven until brown. I used a lasagne dish and sprayed it with oil. Sorry about the *cups* bit but use a coffee cup. It's pretty unforgiving and doesn't need to be that precise. Bon Apetite :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Have you phoned the NCMA to see if there's any "sustainabilty" grants going at the moment - A childminder I know lost a lot of LO's to school this year and was told she could claim for a while if she needed to - she had more work come in so didn't need to but it may be worth seeing what's available.

It wasn't something I ever heard about whilst I was working so not sure if you were aware of it.

Aussie, do you think this would work with courgettes  Asked at the farm shop yesterday, and they were clean out of zucchinni :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Shez - love the *colouring in* :p;) Darcy is coming along splendidly. DH thinks he may be trying to crow  :T

    Chalky - hello again :j

Pooky, what terrible news. Love to your families.

Catowen, sorry, I did say Easter :o  We do our main performance of major choral work then, and it needs this long to get it rehearsed. We'll start on our Christmas programme after half term.

Enjoy the rest of your days, Penny. x

So sorry about your cousin Pooky. Very sad and you're right, it does put everything into perspective.

    Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them! My boss and his wife have gone off in their caravan for a few days...hope it's not too parky. As usual the computers have started to play up in their absence...I swear they know they're off as they start doing all sorts I've never seen before. They're like naughty little children!!
It's been a busy week so far so not a lot of OS other than the basics. We've had our wedding anniversary [14th...what I want to know is when do I get a prize:D ] and it's my birthday on Sat. Unfortunately OH will be away as will the rest of my family as he's doing a big show at the NEC. It's the first time he's done this one and it's by invitation only so we didn't think he could refuse. We're celebrating early with a Chinese takeway with my parents and the small person this evening. I'm having some friends over Sat evening and we're cooking supper together. No one's driving so I might...just might have a small sweet sherry:beer:
OS today has been hoovering through and finishing a hm wig for the small person as he's dressing up as Merlin for book week on Mon. His Beano prize arrived yesterday and he was chuffed.
    Have a good day!
