  • Morning all! :hello:

I was up bright and early this morning so I'm pretty organised. ;) House is tidied and I'm off to Mr T in a mo. I have guests coming for the weekend and I'm going to make a huge fish pie for tommorrow night.
Hairdresser is coming at 1pm to shear me. :o Then I need to do a few more bits in the garden. No idea what's for tea tonight. Think I'll try to pick up a bargain at the shops. It's zero degrees here this morning. Everyone at the bus stop looked a bit stunned. You'd think we'd be used to the cold up here.

  • Morning everyone. Ugh OH is driving me mad, he wants to pay off his CSA arrears with our leftover holiday money - half of which is mine. But the money doesn't even amount to near that, but he's arguing it should do - yet again overestimating. I was planning on using some for my CC.

Apparently my bank account should be sorted but I still haven't heard when I'll be able to use it. At least once I have access to it I can prove how much was left.

Morning all..........((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need them.

Did not have quite such a good night last night, I was cold, woke up about 3.30, made a cuppa and read for a while, settled down again around 5am until OH got up just after 8am.

We are off to the lottie this morning, it feels chilly......so wrap up well, this afternoon we agr going back to the nursery we found the other week for some more bulbs for the tubs. Yesterday we cleared out the summer bedding plants and put the cyclamen and pansies in, re-potted the ivies and also put some tulips in the back of the pots.

    Will be back later..................

    Morning all

I've not managed to warm up yet - will not put the heating on though..........ok maybe I might be tempted to in the morning - but for now I shall get busy in the kitchen and make something.

Heard that my cousin died last night - her with the 3 young kids - at least she's out of pain now.

Looking forward to DH coming home tonight so I can give him a big hug - it sort of puts everything in perspective doesn't it.

Hope you all have a warm and productive day.

  • The storm is over now. Luckily we didn't cop it as bad as predicted but I'm sure somewhere else got the brunt of it. The power didn't go off but we got rain, wind, lightening & thunder. DD said the ferry trip home was a bit scary. My slice :p was nice and have some leftover's for lunch tomorrow. I made a potato bake in the microwave as well. I needed to get rid of some cream. I won't bother counting the calories.

Haribo I hope you get a nice trim :D

Pooky So sorry to hear about your cousin. Her family must be devastated.

Well it does sound like you're all having a wee cold snap. :D It's not winter over there yet is it? I was just thinking today that I need to take the doona's off the bed. I suppose as you're cooling down I'll be hotting up and we can whinge together. ;) Think I'll go and have a surf then hit the sack. Byeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Well I took dd to school running late as usual and as we were getting out of the car I opened the door for her her seat is behind mine turned back and slammed my door yes you've guessed it I had slammed it shut on her fingers so I put her back and took her straight to the hospital no breaks just soft tissue damage and bruising so I feel really bad now but we've had a cuddle and I think she's forgiven me
