Have you heard anything yet @KtStu77?

@lauraclay1727 hopefully you should hear something by end of the week! Fingers crossed! It is a very slow process it seems...we are now in week 8 of our application, we had to wait a few weeks to be able to send a pay slip which we would have at the end of the month so thinking this held us up longer than maybe would have been. They do tend to only ask for single additional items at a time rather than all in one go which can be tedious but stick with it and should be ok...

joining this as me and my partner sent our full application in to Kensington last Wednesday 16/06, on Monday we were asked for a few extra bits of information and asked if we wanted them to go ahead and book the valuation. my MA replied with all the extra bits and said yes to go ahead with the valuation as soon as possible. My MA thinks we may hear back by Friday but after looking at this thread I'm thinking not.
We've already been declined by HSBC due to my partners communication default so I'm really anxious about it all.
You should definitely hear on the documents by Friday I would've thought. But be prepared for more than one request, they don't like to ask for everything upfront it seems, it's one request after another with 3 working days inbetween each one. We've had 5 rounds of documents requested :( but our valuation has been done so hopeful of good news soon. We're 5 weeks into our application at the moment
Fingers crossed you hear something soon. 5 weeks is a long time to wait.
My MA was hopeful we'd get an offer in 2 weeks from application. He said his last customer who went with Kensington got an offer after 12 days but it can take up to 4 weeks max.
we have the estate agent of the house we are hopefully buying chasing us too which makes my anxiety about it all worse.

On their website it says 24 working days on average from application to offer so I think 2 weeks is optimistic. I hope I'm wrong for you as it can be super stressful!

It has been so far, it's been a struggle but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.
They did the credit search on the day we submitted the full application.
Do you know how up to date with the progress will they keep my MA or will we not really hear anything now till we get an offer or they need more information?

thank you. I really hope so but trying not to get my hopes up too just incase.
I really don't know what other information we could give them. just really hoping it all goes through. We don't want to loose the house we are hopefully buying.
Do you know what your waiting for now? Has the valuation been done on the house you want to buy?

They usually update every 3 working days, in my case with a request for more info. Latest being written proof from the student loan company that my student loan was paid off in full. You always think "what else could they possibly need?" and then bam they come up with something! It doesn't help that we're a bit complex with husband self employed, a mistake on one of my payslips etc so they're just doing their jobs I guess questioning everything. If you're simple enough I'm sure you'll be fine

Just have to try and stay as relaxed and calm as possible. Like @EmzJenks said as long as your situation is simple and easy then I'm sure they won't find too much they need to check or ask. It all just depends on everyone's situations. We have had all of our paperwork signed off and accepted. We had our valuation carried out yesterday as far as we know. So now we are just waiting for the valuation to be sent to them and reviewed and hopefully the offer following shortly after. I am still dreading and thinking they could still ask us more questions or paperwork again even now haha!

No not heard anything except it’s being signed off by a senior underwriter and I assume from what I’ve read that means another 24 days 🤷‍♀️. I think my MA has been keeping me in the dark to stop me worrying although the length of time it’s taking is sending me into a panic anyway.

Hopefully it isn't that long for you to hear anything! The length of time does not help the worrying and panic at all!
  • I hope it's simple but I guess you never know.
My credit is fine, I'm self employed and have been in the same job for nearly 7 years.
My partner however has a communication default on his credit report which is why we are going with Kensington and he has also been in his new job for 2 months. They have waived his probation period - he got a letter from his manager to confirm this which we have sent them and his previous job he was there for over 4 years, he only left as his new job is better money and the same kind of job. my MA has said he's more than confident it'll all go through fine but you never know and I'm a worrier so I just keep thinking it's going to be a no and the waiting doesn't help
I feel bad as I'm worrying already and it's just over a week since we applied whereas you all are in your 5th-8th week so I'm sorry if I sound silly.
