Kensington Mortgage application timescale

That doesn't sound right that they haven't done a credit check yet... 🤔 I would be chasing my MA everyday non stop! You must be so frustrated! 😬KtStu77 said:We had our valuation done in April. We are still waiting for the offer but the broker keeps telling us 48 hours and this has been for the last month. Last we heard 2 weeks ago , it’s good to go after proving we had 3 months payments available so wouldn’t ask for a payment holiday . There’s no search by Kensington showing on my credit file either. This has been such a long process and I can’t speak to Kensington directly but have to go through my broker and I think even he’s getting fed up now ! Where is the light at the end of the tunnel ?1 -
That can't be right? There must be some documents outstanding or something, I know Kensington are looking but to not have an update since April is madness. I'd be onto my broker everydayKtStu77 said:We had our valuation done in April. We are still waiting for the offer but the broker keeps telling us 48 hours and this has been for the last month. Hi, I would have said if it was submitted on the 14/06 and they were needing some more additional documents off of you then you would have heard something end of last week. I believe they were a couple of weeks ago working on a 4 working day reviewing turnaround. Have you submitted through a MA? Could you ask them for a update? Have they said anything to you about the valuation being booked in?kdickinson90 said:Hi, im new to all of this! me and my husband are FTB with less than good credit to say the least with outstanding old CCJs and a few missed payments.
Full Application went in on 14.06.2021 and we are still yet to hear ANYTHING! at all. i understood this process was going to take a few months but i thought they would of asked for some form of documentation by now. is this normal??

Credit check only shows on Equifax have you checked there? It's literally the first thing they do. Doesn't sound like your cases have been submitted properly. Especially if you've only just been asked to sign the declaration. That is part of the initial applicationkdickinson90 said:

I haven’t signed anything , I don’t know anything about a declaration …. Is this something which happens with every application ? I’ve just been told within the last 10 minutes the offer is imminent however I’ve been told that beforeCredit check only shows on Equifax have you checked there? Yes right at the start when applying, the declaration is part of the application.KtStu77 said:

Thanks - I have just heard of people not getting offers when expected, believe I should be hearing today but you never know!EmzJenks said:
I would say you're pretty safe now. I believe to get the offer a senior underwriter goes over everything again to make sure they're happy, but I've not heard of anyone getting rejected at this stage. Fingers crossed you get your offer soon!FTB991 said:Hello,
We had a bunch of document requests on 10/06 which we provided on 11/06. This included proof of address and deposit, P60, Student Loan balance and proof of pay on bank statements.
The valuation was paid/booked (and took place) on 17/06 and my MA confirmed they had spoken to Kensington yesterday and valued it at the same price we bought the flat at.
Therefore I was told by my MA that the dashboard shows a tick on both documents + valuation and now we are awaiting offer.
Any idea if we are still at risk of a rejection? or is it a formality?
I am so anxious and nervously awaiting. I was rejected from all lenders apart from Kensington!
Thanks

joining this as me and my partner sent our full application in to Kensington last Wednesday 16/06, on Monday we were asked for a few extra bits of information and asked if we wanted them to go ahead and book the valuation. my MA replied with all the extra bits and said yes to go ahead with the valuation as soon as possible. My MA thinks we may hear back by Friday but after looking at this thread I'm thinking not.
We've already been declined by HSBC due to my partners communication default so I'm really anxious about it all.0 -
You should definitely hear on the documents by Friday I would've thought. But be prepared for more than one request, they don't like to ask for everything upfront it seems, it's one request after another with 3 working days inbetween each one. We've had 5 rounds of documents requestedlauraclay1727 said:joining this as me and my partner sent our full application in to Kensington last Wednesday 16/06, on Monday we were asked for a few extra bits of information and asked if we wanted them to go ahead and book the valuation. my MA replied with all the extra bits and said yes to go ahead with the valuation as soon as possible.
