we are currently going into week 8 of our application… last week they requested an employer reference from my old employer because I have only been in my new employment for 4.5 months. I think they do this if you haven’t been in a job for 2 years or more.DIP- 26th November
Full application submitted with payslips and bank statements- 29th November
Declaration and lending beyond retirement state age forms sent to be signed- 30th November
Signed and sent back- 1st December
Proof of deposit and Shared Ownership offer letter requested- 13th December
All sent back and valuation instructed- 14th December
Valuation done- 20th December
Our file went to underwriting- 7th Jan
Landlords details requested for previous address- 7th Jan
Employer emails requested for references- 10th Jan. Sent back same day
References sent though to employers- 17th Jan
References completed- 18th Jan
Emails requested for my old employers- 19th Jan
This is where we are at today, I’m going to have to chase my old employer next week and our broker because if we don’t get any news in the next couple of weeks I think we will lose the house tbh. I think maybe if I wasn’t in a new employment we could have had it by now.I hope this helps others… a long wait with Kensington seems to be quite normal?1 -

She is anxious as her seller is pushing to go and their seller had their last buyer drop out because they couldn't get the mortgage, so this far in I think the whole chain are starting to think the worst. I think Kensington's website is a bit outdated with timelines haha.. that must have been pre-covid. Or maybe we are just the unlucky ones

Have your solicitors received the offer too?over a week now ours haven't and they called 3 times and every-time they say will email in 30 mins but nothing now over 2 days !!!!!! What a nightmareNeedsadvice13 said:

I'm not sure how they can make people wait this long considering most sellers will drop a buyer who hasn't got a mortgage offer in a reasonable amount of time 🙄0 -

Anyone recently applied for Kensington mortgage?? How long between application and decision?
Trying to gauge average time from application to offer.
Our application only went in last week so it's just the beginning for us but praying for a yes!!
