Hi All,
we had our valuation on 11 of January and they have requested for this month and last month bank statement and saving statement. It feels like it’s never ending. Also I’ve seen people getting asked for employer reference, my mortgage adviser never mentioned this to me. Is it only required if you haven’t been on a job long enough?0 -

Is it only required if you haven’t been on a job long enough? We had our valuation on 20 December 🤦🏼♀️Our broker is hoping we will finally get our offer this week after 9 weeks of application. 🤞🏼We had to submit more payslips end of last week due to the application being so long we had 2 more since the beginning.0 -
We had been in the same jobs for 10 and 6 years and wasn’t asked for an employer reference.0

Mortgage application submitted on Friday and Valuation instructed today!!
I think having a fantastic mortgage advisor who is on the ball has helped massively.
But from reading some posts we may still be a long way from a mortgage offer..... the suspense.

Now going into 10 weeks since we put in our application... I believe we are on the cusp of receiving an offer.
It is £600 less than what we needed due to affordability and they still need to check proof of deposit (which they have had all along).
It does feel like Kensington like to drag the whole process out and assess things bit by bit, week by week, rather than as a whole case.
We sent in proof of deposit last weekend so they have had this all week. We get to offer stage and then they say...oh we just need to check proof of deposit. It really does blow my mind!
However, I am trying to stay positive for our offer (finally) after 10 long weeks of waiting.0 -

Newbie here! We did full application on 31/1/22. Valuation instructed on 3/2/22. Had a few additional queries since. Sent landlord’s details for reference. Just waiting to hear anything further now. All docs submitted (I hope) but not heard if valuation has been booked or anything. We are buying a new build. Have been following everyone’s progress 😁0
