Kensington Mortgage application timescale

@Needsadvice13 that’s such good news for you! I was thinking we would have heard by now… they seemed to be quite quick until now, I’m so gutted and the more we wait the more you start to think there must be something wrong. 

It’s been 9 working days since valuation so god knows what’s going on! I’ve said to our broker that if we don’t hear soon, the sellers are going to end up putting the house back on the market. They have waited so long for us and they’ve gone quiet now with chasing us which is worrying… 

your offer might be quicker seeing as you have it subject to valuation? Apparently getting the valuation reports into their system atm is very delayed, it should only take 2 days but we are now on day 9.

Trying to stay optimistic over here 😂

AIP - 2nd Dec
Full application - 8th Dec
First round of questions - 14th Dec
Second of questions - 20th Dec and 23th
Valuation instructed - 30th Dec
Valuation booked - 6th Jan

From my understanding all checks are complete apart from the valuation so I hope good news will come soon.

Do you know if once valuation is booked, this means they are happy with the docs/application or have there been any cases where although valuation was fine but offer didn't come through?

My valuation is today too 😊 happy valuation day!

I’m not sure if it is the case for everyone but Kensington informed our broker that we have our mortgage agreed as long as valuation came back ok 👍

I have been told that our file is due to be reviewed by the underwriter today 🤞🏼
