2.5lb off for me. Happy with that considering the side effects of lack of fibre in my diet!

Sorry, I can't remember who asked about the Aldi rogan josh but this is the one.

Aldi Specially Selected Lamb Rogan Josh, chilled (350g pack) 1

Be careful - when I checked on Syns Online, there's another rogan josh available at Aldi, it comes with rice, but it's 20 Syns!

Aldi Specially Selected Marinated Lamb Rogan Josh with Saffron Rice, chilled (450g pack) 20

Sainsbury's whole meal hot cross buns (6 pack 70g each) are 9.5 syns.

The freezer bags made me laugh!

Thanks lois I do hope they have this at my Aldi. I love the idea of a 1 syn curry!

Lovely lunch today. I had fish and fish: sardine starter and plaice main. Only syns were in oil. THEN I spoiled it because DH couldn't finish his chips so I had to help him.:o

I just noticed that the rogan josh curry gives nutrition for half a pack, but I had a whole pack to myself and it wasn't a huge portion!

saverupper, why don't you make SW meals for the family with tweaks for the 'awkward customers'. So, as an example, sausage and SW chips with beans but mushrooms, tomatoes, baby corn or whatever extra for the rest of you. I'd be inclined to plate up the basic sausage, chips and beans and then have a bowl of the extras or pile your plates high with all the Speed food and they'll see that you're having more (and better IMO) by eating well.

I can't remember how old all the children are but if they can I'd let them help themselves to choice of breakfast cereal/yogurt/toast, have whatever (within reason) as a packed lunch or school meal and then insist that dinner was based (as above) on SW. That way there'd be minimal extra work for you as I'm sure juggling different meals plus the extra work is one reason for going off plan.

Thank you everyone for the lovely welcome back, and thank you maman for the advice.Your advice for evening meal is exactly what I was thinking of doing:serve up a SW friendly meal, and I will have extra veg etc on the side.

Re the rest of the meals, eldest daughter,15,(golden child,eating-wise :)),organises herself lots of fruit,or a scrambled egg for breakfast.Son has breakfast at school .They both have school lunches.I organise the little ones (10 and 8) breakfast (usually toast or porridge),then I vary between school dinners and packed lunches. In this department,I will be going back to brown-bread,which used to be the only type of bread we used to have in the house, but we seem to have slipped to tasteless white bread over the last couple of years....I can even remember ,when the eldest 2 were little, only ever cooking brown rice.I don't think the 2 little ones would ever remember eating brown rice .Standards around here have definitely slipped 018.gif.

    Today's menu:

Breakfast: an apple (in a rush to get to work)

    Lunch:gammon ham,2 hard boiled eggs,2 salad tomatoes,lettuce,carrot,red pepper,onion

HEA: about half my allowance of skimmed milk in cups of tea

Tea: I thought my friend and I were going to Wagamamas for tea.I had done my research, and knew my meal was going to have 31 syns .When we met,my friend suggested a Mexican restaurant,Las Iguanas, which I had never tried before,so we went there.I can't find the syns online anywhere, but it was high: fahitas cooked in oil,non-alcoholic cocktails(fruit juice base),deep-fried dessert with caramel sauce....................sort of makes the one teaspoon of sugar I had in a cup of coffee this morning look a bit silly :rotfl:.

I knew I was going out tonight when I got back on the wagon yesterday, now pleased to have that meal out of the way,and can concentrate on being good for the rest of the week. This afternoon I have been doing meal-planning,tomorrow planning to do a big grocery shop.

This afternoon also did body magic:total of about 30 min walking briskly to and from park with kids, then more brisk walking around park while kids played
Thank you again everyone for the lovely welcome back x

Thanks Lois Lane I'll definitely be looking for that - would be perfect for me with some quark and rice :)

Thank you Moneysaverme; I'll be taking them with me at the weekend so even though I will flex at least 1 day it's good to know what I'm in for!

    edit to update
    today:
breakfast: apple and orange, 1syn hot chocolate (with milk from hea)
lunch: warmed pulled pork (contains tomatoes, onions, mushrooms) with a tiny amount of pasta
snack: some seafood sticks, hard boiled egg
tea: cooking a 'non sw meal' for the other two. not sure what I'm thinking for myself yet something 5 syns or less (potentially leftovers) but will confirm later
    syns:4 choc fingers (6)
drinks: tea with milk from hea, water/NAS lemonade
    no heb planned as yet

I've put the slow cooker on before I left for work with a small beef joint (no visible fat at all) with a cup of water, 2 beef oxo, 2 carrots, 2 potatoes, 1 large onion. I might have that with some pickled red cabbage, beetroot, spinach for my tea :)

I'm going to weigh in tomorrow as I quite like Thursday as a weigh day :)

    Morning :)
I'm continuing to do it, and continuing to get frustrated.... I've even checked the amount of milk I'm having to check it's not that, and it isn't. I rarely finish a cup of tea so don't have all the milk I put in anyhow but figured out (weighed) I use about 15ml in a little cup so could have 11 of those a day or 7 big cups and when I say big it's like 2 cups in one! it's ridiculous... so definitely not having all my HE A. My B I always measure or have 2 weetabix. Gah! The home scales this morning indicated I should lose that half I put on last week... so 2 perfect weeks for a maintain :|

been 9/10 syns every day apart from Sat - 20.5 I think I worked it all out as, and used all 15 syns yesterday on home made biscuits, actually did all the maths and worked out all the syns of each ingredient 75 syns of butter! :o!

Actually going to eat that asparagus for lunch today before it goes manky lol.

Thinking about jacking it all in and coming back to sw when my head is in a better place. I missed class last week and the thought of paying £10 to be told i have put on weight isnt very motivating. I have been off plan for weeks and have totally lost my mojo. Will stick with the thread for inspiration while i search for my mojo.

well done to all the losers xx
