So I am sulking! Majorly! Did 3 SP days, took a fruit platter to the cinema! Drank 3 bottles of water every day, (compared to my usual no water!) had 5 syns on 2 days because I knew I was going to a dessert place, but had the most boring (though I do like it :P) option on the menu Canadian waffle, so cinnamon - free, mr whippy ice cream - 6 syns (it's a teeny dollop in a pot), maple syrup which is like 1 syn a table spoon so lets say that's 9 of them used up so I left 20 syns (from the other 2 days) for the waffle... Still I gained +0.5 .
My sister, had 2 oreo milkshakes, a footlong sub, a McFlurry, a 25syn panini and 3 doughnuts, a millionaires shortbread and apple juice oh and a waffle with chocolate fudge cake, a big dollop of ice cream and crushed oreos...and she still lost!:mad:I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
Hi
May I join in your challenge?
I have been trying to lose weight with slimming world for years - I have had successes and put it back on and spend my life going up and down but not much down but I keep trying as if I didn't, my weight would skyrocket out of control as I am very weak willed around high syn foods & drink.
My group is fine but it's only one night and whilst I go away with all good intentions and after a couple of days (usually at the weekend) I lose the willpower to stick to it. It doesn't help that I live on my own and there is no-one to help me be accountable for what I eat.
I am away this weekend and Easter weekend and won't have any control over the way the food is cooked. In between and after Easter I would really like to crack on and get some weight off. I did try in the run up to these weekends but just ended up with maintains. I rarely get hungry, so just wonder if I'm eating too much.
Thanks for listening
Oh and how do you get the footers at the bottom of messages?
Thanks

Hi there - welcome to the thread. I'm another one who's been on (and off) SW for years and I think it's good to keep checking what you're doing, but also keep reminding yourself why you're doing it.
As there's so much free food to eat on SW and we're told we can eat as much as we like it is possible to overeat. I try to only eat when I'm hungry and also try to stop when I've had enough - not as easy as it sounds! I also avoid eating for the sake of it so if I get to the end of the day and haven't eaten a Heb, I don't bother.

Matron midge, well done on your loss.
Perthlady and pixtotts, try not to be too disappointed with your gains. We all get them sometimes.
Maisie, you're brave camping tonight. We had a frost last night. Then again, I've camped in snow before. It's the sort of thing one only does once!
Moonlustie, welcome to the group. Hopefully you will find us a very helpful and supportive lot.
TakeItEazy, comfort eating is so easy, especially when you are in pain. I know, I did it the other week, but once the pain is sorted you will manage to get back on plan. Listen to your user name and take it easyZebras rock0
