    Morning all

Just read the headlines on the papers and one caught my attention in the Mail - the reason women are yoyo dieters - here's a link. I found the page, read the reason, and that was enough, I just had to laugh at how ridiculous it is.
Feel like I should bow out of the challenge again if its a gain this week but I'm fed up of feeling a failure!

The challenge isn't a competition so don't feel like you're letting the rest of us down, you're not at all. I agree with Beanie - you have a lot on your plate, so give yourself permission to be human. (((hugs)))

MissTeach - wow, what a lovely surprise! Have a fantastic time.

Thanks for the link to the website LL that looks really useful. I am looking for some low syn fishcakes for something different and quick for tea sometimes so will have a look to see if there are any.

On the Pinch of Nom Facebook page someone posted about some fishcakes that are available from Morrisons that are low in Syns, sadly, I couldn't find them on the website or in Morrisons! I've got a list of things I'm going to buy next time I'm in Marks and Spencers, including their chunky beef in gravy which I've heard is really good and Free!

I've got my annual health check up this morning so it will be interesting to see how much weight I've actually lost since this time last year. I'm going to get changed before I go though - the shop is very cold so I've got thick jeans, three top layers, trainers and socks on at the moment, they'd increase my weight by at least 7lbs.

    Have a good day everyone.

:T to all losers since I last posted. Sorry no names but I've only had time to skim through.

Don't be cross with yourself lush, just draw that line and move forward. What's done is done but you can try to avoid it happening again. What sends you off plan? Is it because there are tempting synful foods on offer at work?

Hope you're now able to eat beanie (bit not too much;)).

That's a ridiculous reason for dieting lois but it's sad that she needs to do that to get compliments. Personally I've done it for me. I'm happy with what I've achieved and how I feel about myself.

I've decided to go to WI tomorrow morning. I'm confident I've gained with eating out but really hoping to be still in target range.

I stayed angelic again yesterday. I went into the city centre before the match and had a tuna jacket. It was tuna and salad bits (not tuna mush) and although it had some oil it was fairly SW friendly. I noticed afterwards that Spud u Like was doing Longley Farm cottage cheese and chive on a JP. That's quite low syn even with full fat cheese. The downside is I'd have to sit in a rowdy food court to eat it.:( Also no Crunchie as I CBA to make a flask of coffee or queue to buy any.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: probably JP with cottage cheese and beetroot (as talking about it reminded me it's my favourite)
    D: spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: squirt of syrup and maybe Parmesan (if I buy some when I'm out).

Wont be weighing in tomorrow, have a frozen shoulder I reckon brought on with all the work stress and not been at all SW friendly, just too stressed out. Focusing on getting away on holiday next Thursday. I'll not be weighing for the next 2 weeks and then I'll weigh the morning after I return from holidays and hopefully I will have my head sorted by then and energy levels back to tackle the thing properly. Feel like I could go to bed at the minute for a week and would still be tired!

Think it will be a relatively healthy holiday lots of walking and relaxation, don't intend on going too off plan with the food as I will just feel worse, so in need of it now!

Katheryn - glad you enjoyed the chilli. Certainly worth making a batch and freezing in portions for another time. Enjoy Nandos. It's good they do something you can actually eat.

LLS - don't beat yourself up, as others have said you've got a lot of your plate. Draw the line and get back on it.

Miss Teach - enjoy your surprise holiday to LA. What a great surprise.

Lantanna - do hope your holiday will help destress you. Work seems to be nightmarish for you at the moment. A break will do you good.

It was WI for me this morning and no idea how but I actually managed to lose 1lb. Now just 1.5lb to go to get back into target range again! Checked my book this morning and I've been out of target range since mid January so nearly 3 months. Maybe my body just needed a bit of a shake up, who knows?

    Today's menu:

    B - grapes & strawberries after WI
L - carrot & lentil soup; 1 slice of WM bread (0.5 HEB)
D - pork, roast potatoes, brussels, peas

    HEA - milk
HEB - bread (0.5); either Hifi or slice of toast later - will spread with quark and top with ham & cucumber if I decide on the toast

Syns - 3 glasses of wine 15 syns

I'll be posting a gain tomorrow without a doubt. bah.

thank you for all your lovely support.

Maman if I'm truly honest it's exhaustion, a bit of cba/laziness and feeling like I have to deprive myself and then resenting that a little. I know by the plan you don't have to deprive yourself but it seems if I have even the tinest amount of syns I have to face a gain unless I do a shed load of physical activity and I just don't have time in the day for that!

I expect I would do better at a group but then I struggle with the financial commitmet and I want to join a gym but if I cant find time to work out at home atm when am I going to find time for the gym?!

I think, in fact I know, that forward planning is key. I think I need a huge batch cooking session then portion it up and write syn values where there is any (i.e lasagne etc) on the top then freeze them all. and need to get back in the food prep habit. I actually might try cooking almost all our weekday meals at least a week in advance/cooking on the weekend for the following week so that I have time to get home and do 30mins or so workout and eat then just wash up and make lunches as everything is slipping with me at the moment. its one of those things where I think I just need to get on top. littlie doesn't have gymnastics a week on Monday so I will use that day to get on top of as much as possible then will do a month long meal plan ( really easy as hubs has the same breakfast and near identical lunch every day, I will have fruit and quark or overnight/baked oats for breakfasts and salad/ syn free chile/coronation chicken on spuds/rice for lunches and then we will all have a fairly family friendly tea) then i'll shop for that and do as much prep as I can. might enlist my dad to help with the prep/batch cook in fact

i'm great at planning its just the execution I fail with so badly at the moment. I don't know whats up with me. like I say hopefully once im on top of everything a bit more....

    Evening all :)

Had a hospital appointment yesterday in a city over an hour away. It's near the sea so took a detour to the beach on the way home. Not exactly beach weather but it was still nice. I did however indulge in a mahoosive box of chips  Can't actually remember the last time I had proper chips, and they were absolutely gorgeous. Well worth the gain they'll probably bring :rotfl:

Got to Iceland this week as well and they had the liquorice Muller lights. I adore liquorice! I haven't tried them yet as I had other yogurts that needed using up, but I'm really looking forward to getting at them. The only downside is that I'm very rarely in the town where Iceland is so might not be able to get anymore since they're a limited edition :( Haven't seen them in any of the local stores, but I do find a lot of the limited editions either don't come to Ireland at all, or only come to Iceland.

Congrats to all the losers this week :j:j:j
