Why is it, tummy issues ALWAYS resolve themselves in a (major :o) way AFTER weigh in and breakfast/liquids?
    Sorry tmi :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Pixtotts, you sound like you've been so good this week, I'm sure that if you keep going you should be rewarded on the scales next week. :D

Make that potato salad and enjoy today's burgers - it'll balance out over the week I'm sure! ;)

Afternoon everyone - where has this morning gone? I've been busy in the kitchen and have made the Ile Flottant from this month's magazines - it's something DH and I always have when we are on holiday in France if it's on the menu when we eat out. Obviously the SW version isn't the same but hopefully it'll be similar enough!

LL - it's a beautiful day here again so will be sitting in the garden shortly with my Kindle and enjoying the sun again. Have been out there Thursday afternoon and most of Friday. Really enjoying the lovely weather.

    Today's plan:

    B - mixed fruit; quark
L - chicken salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper, spring onions, sugar snap peas, beetroot, HM syn free chutney, pickled onions
D - lamb tagine & herb & pomegranate couscous; ile flottant

    HEA - Milk
HEB - not sure yet but had a couple of Ryvita last night spread with quark, slice of ham, cucumber slices so may have that again (only had 2 so counted as Speed! every little helps doesn't it
Syns - ile flottant 2.5 syns; weekend wine probably 3 glasses so 15 syns but only had 3 syns yesterday so no probs there!

TIE - absolutely agree about toilet issues sorting themselves immediately after WI. Happens quite regularly to a lot of us I think!

It's a beautiful day here too denise.:)

I meant to report back on the teriyaki marinade. I only made a tiny amount to smear on salmon before baking it. I liked it but next time I might marinate for a bit longer. DH removed the chillis but I liked them.:D

The recipe was in one of the little books that come free with the magazine. I tore the page out but it must be a world food one as the page says Japan at the top. Recipe is:
    • 4tbsp dark soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp. sweet chilli sauce
    • grated zest and juice of a lime
    • 1 chopped red chilli
    • 2 tsp grated ginger
I just used 1 tsp of chilli sauce, 2 of soy, a good shake of lime juice from an Aldi bottle and grated some ginger from the freezer so a lazy version but I would use it again.

My DH loves Ile Flottante too but he's a massive custard lover. Hope you enjoy it.:)

I need to portion up and freeze the soup I made last night and I'll keep some out for my lunch.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, ham, fried egg, HEB toast (half), tomatoes and mushrooms
    L: lentil and veg soup
D: BGTY burger (1), patatas bravas, green stuff
    Syns: weekend wine:D

Sorry to hear the wine gave you a thick head lois. Hope it's cleared now. I'm having Aldi's Cremant du Jura tonight. Jane McQuitty has recommended it (or rather their Cremant de Loire which is just as good) in the paper this morning so it'll probably disappear from the shelves. It's made by the champagne method and far better than Prosecco or cheap champagne.

Well done on the loss Wizkid, and don't be upset by the sts Esmy, the NSV makes up for any scales disappointment.

Your appointment times are a pain bubbs, but it is good that you are determined to still go to a weigh in.

Good incentive Piglet. I'm glad I dont have to wear a uniform and go scrounging to my boss when I need new stuff.

:rotfl: TakeItEazy. Always seems to be like that. I'm struggling with the same at the moment, with the amount of fibre in the foods I'm allowed.

Yesterdays evening meal was another nice one.
Really feel that I'm cracking evening meals, with a number of nice ones I am managing to produce.
Breakfasts and lunches are a little more difficult, but one step at a time.

    Today's plan:
Breakfast - oops, was I supposed to get up in time for that :)
Lunch - chicken salad, yes it was as boring as it sounds
Dinner - HM burger, SW chips and coleslaw. Using half my weekly potato allowance, but it will be worth it

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - none
Syns - some in the dressing in the coleslaw.

  • I was missing in action last week as it was my birthday on Friday but hubby's 50th birthday on Saturday .....so I've been avoiding the birthday cake all week - though the icing did take a hit but only in small bits !

i managed though to lose 3lbs this week so am well chuffed - the only thing I did different was to consciously drink 2 litres of water

Am going to be away next week but am determined not to put any wait on

Thanks all <3 It's one of those just keep swimming times I guess.
If I don't get a monumental loss next week I'm having a week off! lol!x

That might have a positive effect on your weightloss according to this link. I read about the 'Whoosh' effect on Facebook and it does make some sense, although probably one day rather than a whole week.
