Sorry bubbs I didn't explain this very well:o. The chicken tikka that pixtotts had was free. I meant the answer to your question 'Is tikka free' would vary depending on what you bought and where from. Some chicken tikka (like tinned) can be massively synful others (like chilled breast slices) can be free or very low syn. I didn't want you assuming that any chicken tikka would be free.

Pickles are free and Speed provided they're in brine or vinegar. The only ones that aren't (not technically pickles anyway) are things like peppers and sun dried tomatoes in oil. I think it's a glitch (of which there are many:mad:) with the website. I eat loads of my Speed as pickles especially cornichons, beetroot and pickled cabbage.

I wouldn't be too sure that the bread you toasted isn't a HEB. Not every brand of wholemeal is on the list. Which bread was it?
    Ok thanks no problem:D

Oh, a quick question if I may...

Why are pickles not speed? If I put gherkins, onions & beetroot into the WLP, they are Speed, but the minute I add the word pickled, the S disappears?

I know with cooked/pureed fruit its because you can eat a bigger volume more easily, but pickling these things doesn't change their shape or make it easier to overeat - if anything, I'd have thought that the vinegar element limits the amount you can eat more than non-pickled...?!

    Thanks

    P x

Pickles are speed in the book it says "nearly all vegetables are free foods! Enjoy them fresh, frozen, canned or pickled in vinegar" . If it's speed unpicked it's speed when pickled. :)

What's weirder is that cucumber is on there then gherkins when a gherkin is a pickled cucumber... :/

Same from me. I'm not a dog person but she looks beautiful in that photo tweets, so loving. :T on your loss, just what you need at the start of the holiday.

Just finished my roast dinner. Yum! Yum! I'm so glad they're allowed on SW and I have plenty of LO veg for tomorrow's lunch.:)

    Evening all

Another lovely day here and we were a bit busier.

Had a bit of a disjointed day food wise, we were expecting to go out to a pub quiz tonight with a meal beforehand, so I deliberately planned a light breakfast and lunch to save Syns. Then heard that one of the team has been taken ill and he's in hospital so we decided to go out for a carvery lunch instead, then had the salad we'd planned for lunch at teatime, but I just wasn't hungry so wasted most of it.

Now drinking wine although I didn't plan to, so I think I've broken the Syns bank this week. Ah well, start again tomorrow.

Piglet - I quite frequently bend the rules with bread, it's so restricted on SW so if you're going to have some you should enjoy it. If you've had 2 slices from a 400g whole meal loaf, that counts as a Heb in my book.

Lovely picture of Poppy Tweets, enjoy your Easter holiday. I'm with you on the Easter eggs, I have fond memories of them years ago when the chocolate was really thick and tasted better than ordinary chocolate but they're not the same now.

Hop you've all had a good weekend and enjoyed some sunshine - we've had a few sunburnt customers, amazing for April!

    Evening...

Stuck to plan. Ate salad when I got home - delicious! Tomorrow's plan is:

B: Plain omelette, bacon, mushrooms & tomatoes
    L: Cauliflower & horseradish soup
D: Out with a friend. The plan is to have mushroom risotto, so am saving HExA to use for the parmesan (although having eaten there before, I will also syn some parmesan, because it is very cheesey!). There will also be wine syns... ;)
HExB: Nothing yet - again am saving it just in case the risotto doesn't happen and I end up needing to use it on something else instead :p

Hope everyone has a good Monday!:D
