Thanks Shala, that is pretty depressing reading on my part - must try harder!

A 4lb loss in 6 weeks is good. Just because you have had a couple of gains you need to not let it get you down and remember you are still less than you were at the start of the challenge

Kathryn - glad you enjoyed your noodles for breakfast. As you say not a traditional breakfast food but you have to do what you can do whilst on your very restricted diet. Good luck with WI later.

As you are able to eat noodles perhaps for lunch you could do sweet chilli noodles with finely chopped vegetables that's if you're allowed sweet chilli sauce! I often used to make that as a lunch and then would add prawns or cooked chicken to it for a bit of protein but I'm sure it would work with other sauces if you're not allowed sweet chilli.

Sweet chilli sauce is on my okay list. I def need to eat more of it as it isn't too bad on the syns, and I do like the stuff. Used to use lots of it before I started SW, but then just assumed it would be really bad so stopped having it. Thanks for the suggestion

    Morning all

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Kathryna for SOTW - you're doing very well considering your dietary restrictions.

Well, I've decided to go for it, I've got a voucher from Woman's Own - thank you Bubbs - I'm going to re-join this morning and I'm going to do it properly, no bending the rules!

Well done to all the losers, have a good week everyone.

Hope the new group is as good as your old one LL. If it isn't then you know you could always change back to the evening group with your old consultant and accept the hit you'd inevitably have with the change in WI time.

Kathryn - good to hear you can have sweet chilli sauce. If you want to make your own I have a SW one which is syn free if you'd like the recipe. It says it makes 4 portions but quite honestly it would be extremely skimpy portions for 4 people, DH and I have it between us and it is still not that big a portion!

Well I'm having a great start to my holidays, first the hairdresser scalped me . Bit of miscommunication, I said shaved at the back as usual but before I realised she was shaving the sides  hubby says I could join the marines as I already have the haircut :rotfl:
Then to top it off I hurt my back yesterday so that has triggered a severe case of sciatica. Struggling to walk as right leg is very painful and feels like it will collapse. Not good when I have to walk the dog! Once in field I can let him off but have to walk a bit to the footbridge then struggle up the steps. Oh well they say exercise helps :p
So anyway that's !!!!!!ed up my holiday plans :(
Let's hope between popping painkillers and the exercise the sciatica won't last long (fingers crossed).
Have a good day all :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Morning all,

Things have been crazily busy for me so I haven't read or posted for about two weeks. Last week was a STS and this week I am down by 1 lb

Hopefully I can catch up with what has been happening and pay more attention to my SW efforts as I feel I have slipped a bit. I willl try super hard this week and see if it pays off.

Really hope everyone is doing okay x

Well done lush and wjn and msm. Good to see losses!:T

That haircut sounds horrendous tie. I hope it grows very soon.:)

Glad you made a decision to join a group today lois. I know it's probably psychological but I prefer to go to WI in the morning. I always have breakfast first though because I did on the day I joined (didn't make my mind up until after breakfast) but most people seem to weigh and then eat something. You could always go to whichever group suits you best when the season starts properly.

kathrynha, are you able to eat any of the savoury rice packs or make your own similar ones?

There were biscuits at dancing last night but I refused politely. I did nibble on some pork crackling when I got home though. It should have gone in the bin on Sunday:o. The colcannon cakes (from magazine) look a bit insipid (probably because I used the pale inside of the cabbage) but I'm sure they'll taste OK.

    Today's EE Plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: veggie omelette (tomato and mushroom) with beetroot
D: savoury mince, colcannon cakes, cauli, broccoli, peas
    Syns: none planned

Exactly what I was going to say! Hope your leg feels better soon TIE.

Well done Kathryn for SOTW :T

Shala, I'm missing from the chart (if it's not on the chart does that mean it never happened? :o) Please can you add a half pound gain for last week? Thanks, you are a chart champ!

Yesterday didn't make a brilliant first page for my Fox and Moon planner, but I've recorded it all in an effort to be honest with myself. I did so well all day til the evening and its like my fingers and jaws got restless and started cramming in everything in sight. Today's a new day.

On a positive note, I was halfway theough making my chicken curry last night when I realised I'd run out of curry powder. I found a very old (BBE 2011:eek:) pot of Maykway curry powder that dad used to use so popped that in instead and was pleased to find it's only 1 Syn per tsp, so 1/2 a syn per portion. It gave a lovely thick sauce too.

    Today:
    B - Coffee
D - TCC Chicken, leek and sweet potato pie from freezer
T - Linda Mc sausages, SW Bubble and Squeak (wish me luck, never made that before, SW or otherwise) with frozen veg and maybe some gravy
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - 16 almonds
    Syns - Sugar in coffee (3), mozzarella on pie (1), gravy (2), 2x hot choc (4) = 10

I'm working this aft so no eating there, and my plan for this evening is to crochet, crochet, crochet in front of the TV. Hopefully it'll keep my hands and mind busy, and I won't want to taint the lovely wool with salty/chocolatey fingers.

Have a great day all! x
