Been an awful day foodwise as at the hospital with DH all day. I went into town once we got to the hospital and he'd booked in and ended up in Wetherspoons for breakfast, so not too bad (I had the vegetarian) so a few syns for oil plus a hash brown.

By mid afternoon I was really hungry again and went to the hospital restaurant and only wraps and toasted cheese sandwiches available! Didn't want toastie so ended up with a hoisin duck & salad wrap so at least 9 or 10 syns.

Dinner tonight was at least SW friendly - did the chicken nuggets, chips & sweetcorn from this month's magazine. Was quite nice for a change as usually just have chicken breast roasted or stuffed and baked.

Will definitely get back on plan tomorrow as have now done my meal plan for April and have the start of a shopping list for tomorrow.

Sounds tasty, Kathryn! I think you're doing so well to keep to SW as well as you can while your diet is so restrictive...:T Lots of people would just have given up on SW and eaten whatever, ignoring syns! :o

shala - that Greek lamb pasta looks lovely. Although I can see what you mean about portion sizes... I think that's something I'm going to have to look at once I get the hang of food choices, because at the moment some of my portions are huge - its free food and its healthy, and it fills me up and stops me wanting synful foods, but I think long term I am going to need to adjust my portion sizing! :p

Well done to all the losers - what a great start to the week - especially shiprob; you've done so well in 13 weeks!! :j

Lois, I agree with Kathryn - go to whichever meeting you want to, and just tell your consultant if necessary that the new meeting is a more convenient time. ;)

Bubbs - what an inspirational story. That's an amazing loss in just 2 years!

piglet - if you start cutting down portion sizes regularly you will find that your stomach shrinks and your body gets used to smaller portions slowly. Certainly worth a try.

Thanks for the kind words about my NSV - I just needed to say it "out loud" to people who would understand and "get it". I'm still much bigger than all of my friends and work colleagues (only a couple have noticed my weight loss so far...) so its difficult to explain to them that being in clothes 4 or 5 sizes bigger than the ones they wear feels like an achievement! :rotfl:

I am going to go through my wardrobe this weekend, because I know I have plenty of other clothes in the same size, and will hopefully be able to fill a bag for the charity shop... :D

Stuck to plan food-wise today. HExB was hi-fi bars. Didn't have an egg with dinner in the end. Had pickles instead (silverskin onions & gherkins). However, can anybody advise me on Branston pickle please? I know its 1 syn per level tbsp., but how can you level a tbsp of Branston pickle when its got chunks in it?! Can I just put my plate on the scales and weigh it instead? At the back of my brain I'm thinking that 15g = 1 tbsp, but can anyone confirm this or am I making it up?!?!

    Tomorrow's plan:
B: Cheese (HExA) omelette with mushrooms & tomatoes
    L: Leek & potato soup
D: Minced beef with rice, leeks, cabbage & carrots & chilli (sounds weird, but its a dish we've eaten forever in our family, and I love it, and I suddenly realised that its almost free - syning a little oil because the chilli we use for it is in oil) :)

Thanks, Denise - I think I'm going to have to start giving that a go! Its reassuring to hear that my body will get used to it... :D
