Slight change to today's menu. I measured out my Crunchy Bran for breakfast, but my milk had turned, so ended up having the cereal with Greek yoghurt instead. But that meant that I was missing a HExA(!), so lunchtime's poached egg and ham on salad became a ham & cheese omelette with salad (its difficult to make cheese stick to a poached egg, and I only like cheese if its cooked/melted, not raw!! :p). Its a good job I love omelettes...

Dinner, at least, remained as planned. Have also had 5 syns of chocolate - still on track...

    Tomorrows plans are
B: Cheese (HExA) omelette with mushrooms & tomatoes
    L: Roasted vegetable soup
D: Bubble & Squeak (cooked extra veg this evening on purpose) with ham, and probably a poached egg on top (others will have fried, but I prefer poached)
HExB: May be hi-fi bars, or perhaps some poached plums with yoghurt... Will see how hungry I feel after dinner.

As an aside, I bought a top (only from Asda, so not a major spend) last year before my holiday, but when I got it home, it was a bit tight across the tummy. Being quite lazy, but ever optimistic (and I suspect I'm not the only one here to have done this...) I decided to put it in the wardrobe for "when I'd lost a few pounds":rotfl:. I got it out this morning and tried it on over jeans, thinking that jeans are bulky, but it could be my inspiration to keep going if I hung it on the back of my bedroom door, because its quite a pretty top.

Imagine my surprise when it not only went on, but it is baggy around the tummy, and I must have changed shape because the neckline is also too big, so it wouldn't stay up on my shoulders now. My family banned me from leaving the house because it looked so bad! :T I'm torn between being gutted that I've wasted money and never had the chance to wear it :( (that's my MSE side), but thrilled because its too big - and I can't remember the last time anything in my wardrobe was too big...normally my clothes become too small over time!! ;) (And the thrilled bit of me wins hands down - I'll take the monetary hit!!)

:T that's quite a NSV (non scale victory) with the Asda top piglet. You've obviously lost inches as well as weight. I'd donate it to the charity shop in celebration. When I was getting to target I bought quite a bit from charity shops and then re-gifted them when they got too big. It meant that I could buy a few things cheaply until my size settled but I also experimented with colours because when I was fat I wore an awful lot of black.:(

I always cook extra veg deliberately to have for my lunches. I have cold meat with fried veg (or bubble & squeak if I have LO mash) and pickles 2 or 3 days a week. I love it.

No, I'm having to restrict a couple of minerals as my body can't process much of them at the moment, so by restricting them it will allow my body to concentrate on recovering from the op and the damage caused.

Thanks for explaining that. Hopefully, sticking with this restricted diet for a while will do the trick. It seems I was fortunate and didn't have any damage done with the same procedure.:)

My dinner was yummy. I love my roasts.

Good to see you posting shala. Will you be able to reproduce the recipes you've used with Gousto? Do share if you've found anything low syn.:)

Thanks maman, I do read everyday in my lunch time but I always run out of time to post!!

The recipes are lovely - but the meat isn't low fat which is a shame so reproducing them with lower fat alternatives is a definite. Although we've also said we'd treat ourselves to a box every few months so we don't get bored with our eating plans.

We ordered Greek Lamb Pasta, Open Beef lasagne, chicken poutine & garlic butter greens and Spanish pork tenderloin with salsa verde.

Took a photo of tonight's tea (as you do :rotfl:)

It's really opened our eyes about portion sizes too
Shala, apologies, I didn't post my WI last week so if it's not too much trouble could you put plus 1.5 for me for last week and a STS this week.
    Not a problem, done :D

    Well done piglet :T:T

Tonight we have sat down properly and planned the next two weeks of tea's :T:T just need to get into a routine of lunches now. Both me and OH have lost our way somewhat so we really need to crack on as we have a wedding to go to at the end of May!

Hi everyone :) Just popping in quickly as I suddenly realised that I hadn't put in this weeks weigh in. -1.3 for me this week. Weight loss seems to be back to normal after my very drawn out stomach bug. Bit disappointed as I was enjoying the good losses but pleased I didn't gain as I thought I would when I went back to eating normally.

Congrats to all the losers this week :j and hugs to anyone struggling.

Well done Piglet on the NSV. It's a lovely feeling when clothes no longer fit for the right reason. Excuse to go shopping :)

Cazza and Whiplashy, well done on the losses.

Maman, it's not that you were lucky, it's just that you were normal. They go through the long list of possible complications with you before the op, and this is unfortunately one of them. Just hoping it sorts it's self given time.

    Today's plan:
Breakfast - SW rice pudding and fruit. Definitely nicer fresh than when it's been frozen :(
Lunch - Carrot, courgette and chicken salad
Dinner - Beef stew and dumplings
Snacks - Strawberries, wotsits and haribo

    HA - milk
    HB - oats in dumplings
Syns - some in dumplings and wotsits and haribo

Not the healthiest, but if I manage to force down all my breakfast I will deserve some haribo!

Morning all, beautiful day here but freezing! I've already been out to take Gran for a blood test and round the supermarket so it's nice to be home nice and early. I have a few reports to write today and job apps to do but the only snacky food I have in the house is almonds and although I syn them if I go over 16 (HEB), I think there are worse syns.

    B - Coffee
D - Salmon, potato wedges, and leftover salad from yesterday
T - Chicken curry and rice
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Almonds
Syns - Sugar in coffee (2 so far), almonds (6 probably), not sure what else yet.

Well done on that NSV Piglet!

Have a lovely day all :)

Morning all - well, only just! I've been busy catching up with paperwork this morning and the time has flown by.

Reporting in with another STS this week - I'm happy with that after several days off plan, not to mention the pasty/sausage roll lunch. :D

Catch you later - have a good day.

    Hiya all,

Its turned out to be a lovely day here after a very misty start. But I think I will have to avoid dog walking in the local park until the school holidays are over - the hound joined in a game of football and let's just say that he's not a teamplayer or prepared to pass the ball. 10 long minutes it took to convince him to give the ball back :o

    -2lbs this week please Shala...
