Hello, hope you've all had a good Saturday... :D

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Wizkid, Mr & Mrs joedenise and Mr & Mrs Lois Lane - all fantastic achievements in this day and age - that's a lot of years of marriage between you! :T

Well, stuck to food plan today, but had some popcorn syns last night after I'd posted and have had some chocolate today - but am still on track for syns for the week, so am still happy. ;)

But can someone clear something up for me, please? On Thursday I had 2 hi-fi bars (1 salted caramel & 1 choca mocha) but when I put them into the WLP, the first one was put as my HExB and the second one showed as 3 syns... Am I wrong in thinking that 2 hi-fi bars are a HExB, or is there a rule that they have to be two of the same sort, or is it just a glitch in the WLP that doesn't allow you to split a HEx? I've added it into my syns total anyway, but am just curious...

    Tomorrow's menu plan.
B: Crunchy Bran (HExB) & milk (HExA)
L: Green salad with ham and a poached egg
D: Roast chicken dinner (5 syns for a small sausage, a stuffing ball & gravy) with lots of free speed vegetables

Off to bed shortly - my Fitbit says I don't sleep enough, and I've read several articles recently which say that lack of sleep makes people weigh heavier, etc, etc - so am trying hard to improve my sleeping patterns!

Not such a great week for me - 1/2lb gain this week. Reckon it's down to not eating at regular times and not drinking enough fluids as I've been really busy. Food has been about 95% on plan, but it's clear the little things have quite an impact!

    Morning all.

Not a good week this week. Have felt so bloated and TMI I know but I go through stages where I can't go to the toilet. Weighed in yesterday morning and had a 2lb gain!

Was disappointed yes, but not overly gutted as I know how far I've come.

I changed my target weight last week and now I'm 3lb away from it.

I have started taking "Wellwoman" original tablets as they are on offer at Asda at the moment. Would these have caused me to gain?

Out for a meal to the hungry horse today and I plan on changing chips for a jacket potato and I will take a butter bud with me to put on it.

Have a good week all. x

They do. The online food logger can't cope with you having 2 different flavours, because it assumes that when you add 1 you are doing a SP day, when 1 is classed as a HB so syns the 2nd. I questioned this the other week.

I find I need to keep my fluids up to help lose weight too

The bloating can easily account for 2lb gain.

I take them (don't always remember every day) but sadly I don't think I can blame them for my recent gains. They make me feel proper sick for about ten minutes though if I don't take them after a large meal - do you find that? I continue to take them though because I do find they improve my energy levels. Asda often has the £6 each or 3 for £10 offer on which is brilliant :money: Also, I find myself unable to 'go' for a few days around my period - could that be the case here, or perhaps the tablets are giving you some sort of hormone boost causing the 'reluctance' until you get used to them? This is all pure speculation I have no idea really!

Kathryn, how do you do a HM pot noodle? How's the restricted diet going?

    Today's menu:
B - Scrambled eggs on grilled mushrooms
D - Jacket spuds with FF cottage cheese and spring onion, and a salad of grated carrot and beetroot, and cucumber
T - Lamb steak with roast veg - aubergine, courgette, mushrooms, cherry toms
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - 16 almonds
Syns - Sugar in coffee (5), butter in scrambled eggs (1) ... maybe a glass of vino later (5) or more likely a hot choc (2).

The HM pot noodle is an idea I got from the Hairy bikers dieter book.
You can put anything in that is cooked already or will cook by just being in hot water.
My one, I chop really small carrot, spring onion, watercress and courgette (also mushroom, sweetcorn and tomato before my diet went restrictive), and put it in the bottom of a jar, them already cooked and cooled noodles on top (the straight to wok ones can be used but have syns), then I put in some miso paste, but any spices/stock can be used, then chopped coriander on the top. You can also put cooked chicken, ham, prawns etc in the bottom layer.
It can all be prepped before hand but needs to be kept in fridge.

Then when you want it, just cover the food with boiling water, stir and put lid on for 5 minutes.

The restrictive diet is kind of going okay, I am starting to get some things I know I can have safely. Having lots of rice. Do need to work out a safe source of fibre that I can have.
