This is the reality for disabled people in our society today.
Makes me sad to be disabled & to be a human being.
I have a pain in my heart.
    Please watch it. Thank you.
That is awful, i clean houses for a living and one of my customers is disabled and his father was his carer , unfortunatley he passed away aged 81 last October , so the son(56) is home alone, he has carers twice a day, his brother lives away, so im always popping in to check things and his post which i then forward to the brother as the carers what he is paying over 1k a month for:eek: never seem to do much in my eyes, he would be in the same situation:(

    That is very sad.

There seems to be a lack of appreciation of the problems disabled people have just to get things sorted - I used to work for a stroke charity and know of lots of people with cognitive problems caused by the stroke, who have to rely on other people to fill forms and apply for help they're entitled to, and not everyone has someone to do it for them. It can't be down to "you have one chance and if you don't get it right, that's it", that's not fair.

Congratulations to you both Wizkid and Mr W. That's a real achievement, DH and I are approaching 40 years next year and sometimes I really don't know how we managed it without killing each other! There was a couple in the paper who've been married 72 years, the longest in Britain apparently, and she said the secret was the shepherd's pie she made him every week. :D
