  • Do you think you could put a few drops of lavender oil in the water container in a steam generator iron?

yes- what you're suggesting sounds very much like 'comfort vaporesse' which perfumes ironing water.

Be careful adding things to water your going to put in an iron - especially where steam is under pressure - it may rot the seals.......
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

ok, i chickened out after the last post, but I have found if i spray the clothes when they have some out of the wash, they still smell nice when dry and it doesnt leave any oil stains on the clothes. i added about three drops of oil to one bottle full of water and shake before I use.

just remember to give the bottle a little shake and then spray. I dont spray directly on the fabric but spray it upwards so it "lands" on the clothes, if you know what I mean.
it also makes my bed smell nice :)

You'll need to add a little vodka to the mix to help it 'keep' otherwise it will go stale. I've had some in my fridge that I made about two years ago and it still smells fresh!
