Hi everyone
in my pre OS days i became very used to using (and kind of addicted to) that lovely smelling ,ridiculously priced ironing water sold by the comfort people.
i know its a nice to have as opposed to a need to have - so does anyone have any nice OS ideas for the same kind of thing?
i hate ironing and the lovely smells just seemed to make it a tad more interesting : )

Can't you just add Essential oils to a bottle of water and use that? I know EO's are oil, but surely if it was diluted so much, it wouldn't harm the iron. I'm sure someone else will correct me if I'm wrong
Either that, or put the above water into a spray bottle and spritz your clothes as you iron. If that's too much of a faff, why not spritz your ironing board after every couple of items.0 -
I think a homemade version would be a few drops of lavender oil with water.0

sorry, I was just working out how you iron water.
Boom Boom.........................0 -
lol
but foreverskint, 'boom boom' - isnt that a cue for a custard pie in the face?
lol - watch out!!
to the other reposnes - doh i suppose i am being a bit dim - i guess any kind of perfume in the water would work.0 -

This would be fine. We've got one of those big steam iron thingies (best I can do - i dont do ironing - thats why I got married).my husband adds essential oils to the water in that so the steam is nice and smelly. its luverly!
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I either buy cheap de-ironised water and add a few drops of oils to it for the smell, or if I am feeling very cheap I fill the kettle, boli it and let it cool and use that water with a few drops of oil.0

Sorry, but I don't have a clue as it's only on very rare occasions you'll ever catch me doing this ..........

It is that what you do, good or bad,
will come back to you three times as strong!
