tiptoe away quietly--- I am not going to the footie and OH supports West Ham but he did get the tickets OS style through a Plymouth supporter who he is going with so I hope he keeps his mouth shut as he will be in the Plymouth end of the ground!!!!

Ahhh, so your OH will have to give Plymouth a cheer for me then - the Plymouth fans who travel are very passionate about the team (have to be, the amount of miles they have to travel!!!) Mind you - i was going to say blow Freddie a kiss for me (gutted he left Arsenal) and im sure your OH wouldnt want to do that:rotfl: !!!

  • Just checking back in before i go clean the floors, my flash power mop is out of cleaning fluid and the bleeping (insert explenative of choice) manufacturers make sure the top is sealed so you cant refill it with home made cleaning fluids, so it's an afternoon on my hands and knees for me. Good job hubby is at work!:rotfl:

A little tip for those like me, who'd like to remember to offer a hug to those in need, but don't have the memory skills to manage it. Pick someone who's already posted a detailed post, like Anniestar, who is not at all boring & copy her post & insert it in your own post, remembering to delete your own name if it's mentioned.
Hugs to Donny-Gal, Mean Marie, Essex girl, TM, SCUZZ, Taplady, AnnieBooklover, pooky, CatOwen, & ellie.
I have some free time on the PC, the lodger was told she can't keep leaving at 3:30 when I do, so she's still at school. I had to lend her the bus fare to get home as she was relying on getting a lift.
She broached the subject of restarting her distributership of Herballife products, so I'm off to look up some info on it, I need to know if she will have to buy a lot of stock (I don't have room for her to store it) or if she wants to hold meetings (over my dead body). If it's just like Tupperware or Avon, then that's fine, just so long as she understands I'm not buying!!
As she's a supply teacher she doesn't get paid for the holidays, so she needs to find a way to earn extra money or to budget what she's earning. Someone at work has talked to her about protecting herself online, so hopefully that problem will be sorted.
I had a lot of long print runs to do at work today, which meant I was able to sit down for most of the day. I was also able to write some more for my blog.
HM fish & chips for tea & I need to bake a cake or 3, for the MacMillan coffee morning on Friday.
Hope everyone has a good evening
    Hugs Hester

  • Hi again everyone

Thanks for the warm welcome back. I really do appreciate it. Part of the reason I was feeling so down recently was that I felt very unappreciated in my day-to-day life. Managed to have some heart-to-hearts with the people involved and things are better than they were. So, it was such a nice feeling to come back and see so many of you mention me - yep, chalky, I like to see my name mentioned now and again too. :o

Had a good day at the office - boss' wife and I were in stitches regaling each other with our worst holiday experiences. Could barely breathe at times. A real tonic. :D

Decided I'm going to make a small "car" hamper as part of my Dad's Christmas and a "tea-break" hamper as part of Mum's. So, when I was at the supermarket I picked up a little storage box, which will fit nicely in the boot of Dad's car and so far have bought some interior and exterior screen wipes, a dashboard cleaner, de-mister sponge and some screenwash. Will get him an air-freshener, a keyring, atlas and some other bits and pieces. For my Mum, I bought some *posh* tea and some Tetleys "calming" tea together with a crossword book and a sudoku book and two sachets of Galaxy hot chocolate. Will get her a nice new mug, a pen, a *posh* packet of biccies (may make some Twinks too) and a couple of other things. I already have some other things bought for Mum but wanted to do something very personal just for her. Dad will inevitably look for some money in a card so he is taken care of once I finish the hamper.

Off to enjoy another night of rugby. ((((hugs)))) to everyone - not just those who need one. :D xx
