Morning all,
I't freezing here! I'm sat waiting to do the school run fully dressed with my dressing gown over the top :rotfl: .
I'm having coffe with a friend this morning then planning on doing some baking this afternoon.
I worked out that my recent spat of returned morning sickness was due to eating chocolate first thing in the morning rather than breakfast so that is now banned :rotfl: .
My mum is coming to visit tomorrow for the weekend so i really must tidy up at some point, plus the midwife is coming out on Friday morning and i always feel the house has to be tidy to showhome extremes whenever she comes to visit!
DS1 came home from school last night with a letter for a three day trip next year to the peak district - cost - £155 but could be more depending on numbers Grrr, gutted at having to spend the money but the up side is he is out the house for three days and two nights :T
Hope you are all well, hugs to anyone in need of them.
Dogrose - :T on paying the car loan off a year early, what are you going to spend the extra money on?
HardupHester - Your lodger seems quite irresponsible at times, i dont envy you having to broach the subject with her.
Donny - hope it's good news on the foot front
Mioliere - glad you had a better nights sleep, it doesnt matter how much i'm getting at the moment i still dont want to get up in the mornings.
Leigh xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!
Total £560 -

Another day off for me:D got a little cleaning job to do for my Mum and Sister this morning then this afternoon I want to clean the upstairs windows(insides only) did all the downstairs yesterday inside and out(about time too:rolleyes: )
Weigh in tonight, am not optimistic but we shall see! the closer you are to target the harder it gets!
Anniebooklover - glad you are posting again!:T
My thanks button isn't working again either so apologies to all I have tried!

Well, been out with the dog and it is definitely a jumper day - in fact, it might even be a polo-neck jumper day :eek:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Morning All
Well the bug has finally got me. I have a throat like a cheese grater:mad:
Meant to be seeing the bank later, but I really don't feel up to it. All they want to do is try and flog me stuff. I'm not in debt so it's not that.
Booked next week off work as I really need some time off just to chill. Will probably use some of the time to wrap up some Christmas presents and write the cards. Also will be hoping the flat will be nearing completion by then
No plans for today really. Need to fill up with petrol and have another voucher for 5p off a litre at Mr T, so will head there after work
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Good morning everyone - very bouncy Penguin, today. I've been for a bracing run along the riverbank, and sung very loudly (and probably out of tune
). The cows definitely looked scared
DH is off to Stockholm today, DS has scouts and DD is doing her first Senior Prefect duty showing prospective new parents and Y6s round the school. It'll give me a chance to do the ironing.
Had a really stressful day at w*** on Monday, so came home and baked until 10pm :eek:The cheesy seedy bread mountain went down very well at w*** yesterday. Would anyone like some flapjack? However, due to rearrangement of my days, I now have a 6-day weekend :j  :T :money: :easter_os  :happylove :heartsmil :heartpuls :snow_grin :santa2: :coffee: There aren't enough smilies to show how happy I am about that :rotfl:
Going to finish sorting out my recipe folder, do another check of what's in the freezer and meal plan around that (plan to start a thread asking for recipe ideas for 6 dark chocolate Magnums that I bought as a *bargain* but no-one likes :rotfl: ), and clean fllors, baths, sinks, loos.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Morning :hello:
I didn't get a good night's sleep and found myself sitting in a frosty garden at 5.30 drinking coffee and watching a beautiful full moon over the bay.I thought I was mad until I came on here to see that PenPen is madder. I draw the line at running along the river bank singing early in the morning.
Ironing today and possibly a bit of gardening. Have lamb defrosting for a curry for OH's tea. Girls and I will have chicken casserole.
I'm a bit wrecked because I did too much yesterday. While I had the paint brush out I touched up a few bits in the kitchen and of course ended up painting the whole lot.
Nice to see you back Annie.
Are you sure you're not slipping him some pepper TM?
Good luck to Ellie, I think she has a hospital appt today.
Bye for now

Morning all
Mighty chilly here this morning - the wind is really strong. Both DD's wanted to go wrapped for the arctic this morning bless them
Feeling a lot better today - head's not so wooly and throat's not so sore just the really snotty nose and hacking cough stage - nice!
DH just about managed to get home last night after the car went "sputt sputt bang" - called out the recovery people and the bloke was lovely - showed DH the hose that had broken, told him how much it should cost roughly and showed him how to fit it - he's managed to get a lift to work today and he's got a company car for a few days as he's away to Leeds - managed to find a main dealer on the way who's got the part in stock so will be able to fit it himself and save money when he gets home!!
Kitchen's been cleaned and wiped down - floors been swept and hoovered and DW and WM are doing their stuff - need to hoover/dust/change beds in DD's rooms and then clean out the parrot who makes more mess than everyone else put together.
Dinner tonight will be something involving lots of veg as DD's both seem to have gone off fruit now the weathers gone colder - really struggling to get 5 a day into them....neither of them are big fruit juice drinkers, prefering water, so will see what I can find in the fridge and freezer to tempt them.
Hope you're all well and have a great day.
Edited to say - TM - nice to see you back"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Work today, so something nice in the slow cooker for when we get home. I don't know whether to put a jumper on or a short-sleeved top, I'll decide after I've been out with the dog.
Hope everyone has a good day x
