Use it or lose it - £30 deposit received for sale of never used multi-gym. It was a lifesaver when I couldn't drive 18months ago but hasn't been used in month. He'll pay the rest when he collects on Monday.:j.

Black Dog still in residence. No gym, eating crap. Diving tomorrow is going to be cold. But DH needs the break.

I need to snap out of it.

mothernerd thank you although I did actually manage a NSD today :D I've just finished work an hour late and couldn't be bothered with the shops so will buy the wedding gift tomorrow before I leave.

Love todays wellbeing, watching a film is my plan for this evening anyway.

Thrilled to have made it to Friday - this week has been absolutely rotten in terms of stuff to do and no time to do it. Thankfully I'm still feeling ok with the whole mental health thing at the moment so I'm not as overwhelmed as usual. I am exhausted and I am ready to relax a bit but still doing well.
Got home and have hoovered, washed up and done the recycling. Now planning to sit on my bum for a bit as we have a bit of a busy weekend ahead.

Use it or lose it - I've had 5 fleebay sales this month and the bike trailer on fbook - all stuff we didn't need /any more. More things listed on fleebay too - they get this chance as single items, a chance as a bundle (all related items) and then it's the CS. Have also been reading a lot and using things up - food spends are fine, with only 1 week to go. Lots of paperwork finally dealt with properly (including finally sending off for the balance of my Dad's NSI account - he died 6 years ago! :eek) I only received 3 items for my birthday which were not ultimately consumable or an experience (a scarf, a fab garden ornament made from recycled metal and a cute dumpy vase, perfect for displaying one flower)

NSD today - spent this morning volunteering and this afternoon doing housework. I am not counting the 'donations' for non uniform to spoil the day as I have no choice when to give them and the cash was set aside on the mantel days ago (to ensure I actually had the correct change :D)

    Today I am thankful for
    * lovely weather
    * line dried washing
    * it's Friday - OH will be home for the weekend later
    * having a laugh with DS1 whilst 'making' him help me with some chores earlier

Today I am grateful that I brought my bunny pattern to mum's as I have cut out about 10 of them! (Can't get her sewing machine to hook up the bobbin thread, so no actual sewing happening), for lovely friend giving me a spare set of keys so I can use her house as a bolt hole, for mum coping with no heating, for getting in a brisk walk in the sunshine and wind, for dd having a great day at school, for interesting telly to watch, for gorgeous buttons, for beautiful fabrics, for good walking shoes, for spotting a couple of footpaths to explore one day.

Thank you mothernerd for the daily inspiration.

Furrybeastoz you know you can't snap out of it when the black dog has a grip. Do be kind to yourself. Maybe as well as eating rubbish, add in a few veggies?

Applemuncher thanks. I just forced myself to have a 'proper' meal for the first time this week. Broccoli and spinach with Chicken and mushroom casserole.

I have the GUAG of a particularly decrepit slug. DH has just phoned to say he's going to be stuck at work for a couple more hours so can I pack our dive kit. Ugggggh. I've looked some out but my brain isn't really functioning. And I need to shave tonight - best not done in a brain fog.

  • Evening everyone,

The last few days I have:
    • Finished a library book
    • Collected a reserved book from the library
    • Finished watching season 1 of The Affair on Now TV
    • Completed some surveys
    • Paid £10.49 off my credit card
    • Enquired about a refund of uni fees (will go straight to the credit card if and when it arrives)
    • Had a wander around the park
    • Bought more clothes in the sale for the little one. Need to reign this in next month!

Calling: Me and my eldest are going to see Beauty and the beast on Sunday for mothers day. Since having my youngest I never feel I have enough time for her.

I am taking mum to the classic film showing next Friday afternoon (providing she is well enough). They are showing 42nd Street.

I love bunny tales. This is nearly exactly what I was going to say FBO - no-one can or should tell you to snap out of it, including you. Well done on the broccoli. Small steps and lots of self-care.

Greent an excellent list of use ups.

I have noticed that in addition to bringing the Mother's Day card back home, it actually says 'from your son' on the front (the son was under the big round price ticket). I'm not buying another. This was the best of a bad bunch and I was going to add a few 'mother' quotes - mum loves yards and yards of verse, however bad. So will add quotes and sign it from all 3 of us (myself, dead brother and baby brother - only 55 and she still treats him as though he shouldn't be allowed out without his mittens tied on a string).

It will make her cry (10th anniversary of brother's death tomorrow, it would have been his 57th birthday last Wednesday) but she would probably have had a cry anyway.

More washing has been processed - starting to feel like a proper old school spring clean. Hopefully some of the quilt/ cover type things can go away. Beloved is not coming home until Sunday (parents begged her to stay longer) so DS3 is upset. He was up at the crack of dawn to go and fetch the laptop back - he could not do any work yesterday. Let's hope he doesn't mope too much.

I have not spent money and have mostly been sewing and watching movies - a series called An American Girl. Julia Roberts is the executive producer and they are quite good in a 'Little Women/ Railway Children' kind of way - some social pioneering and 'a message' but not laid on with a trowel, as Americans are inclined to do.

Today I am grateful for beautiful weather - cleared all the lines and put more out, purple furry has just finished washing. For managing the washing (holding onto washing line and various items earlier) and for having a peaceful and entertaining day.

    Morning all,

Typically it's the weekend and I'm awake at 5.37! Oh well, I'm more productive in the mornings and I have a lot to do today so I'll get up and get started in a minute.

For those who've been here a while today is a super exciting day - I am going to choose a bath (and a whole new bathroom) :j I can't wait for it to all be installed in the summer and to have not only a bath but an upstairs bathroom for the first time in 7 years.

I'm also doing the food shopping and vaccinating two of the dogs so it'll be a spendy day for sure.

Off to put the washing in, have a great day everyone.
