Had a busy few days so not been on - Have managed another 2 NSD's since I was last on.

Thurs was a spend day as had day off work and had to go to dentist and then met work colleague (the one who had a big operation) and I took her out for coffee and cake again - different place to last time.

Mothernerd mentioned parks and how we should use them. You won't be surprised to learn that I am currently involved with my village park!! We are only a small village and last year some of the play equipment was condemned and has been removed. Although not on the Parish Council I go to all the meetings and put my two pennies worth in and managed to persuade them we still need a play park (it doesn't actually matter for me as such as my kids are 14 and 20 but I want to do it for the village).
I have done the consultation and held a meeting for anyone interested in having a say of the new play park and currently have been stuck with regard to land and ownership as some of the land is owned by local council and some by parish. local council can't find records and have indicated we should just do what we like!!
Just waiting on a land registry search and then I plan to meet with the manufacturers of the play equipment to get some quotes and then I will fundraise/apply for grants to get the money for the new equipment.

So hopefully by the end of the year we will have some brand new play equipment suitable for all ages.

Have a fab weekend everyone - I am off to Leicester to collect my son from Uni as Easter has started for them.

Well Leicester is lovely and sunny today!
    Washing on the line
NSDs up to .... 7! but should not need anything tomorrow either so I am hoping that will be NSD#8.

Cleaning, tidying, reading and baking on the cards for me today. Using up bits and bobs, I have made scones for afternoon tea and a big jar of granola to have with plain yogurt. Also made pasties but have not baked them, ready for tonight.

Made the kids watch Comic Relief last night. They finally get that they are not the world's most hard done by children and their problems are nothing compared to other kids their age. Will see how long it lasts..........

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, I'm off to put more laundry on the line, and take more anti-histamines.

Gorgeous day. We are back from our diving attempt. We were rear ended at a roundabout in Balloch. Thankfully no one hurt and the tow truck got to us quite quickly. Wish I hadn't booked and paid for hotel tonight. Non refundable, so DH currently packing all the stuff into my car so we can leave again.

It's going to be a nightmare next week with him carless and me working extra days In Ayr. I paid for flights and hotels for the following week yesterday. If his cars not viable that's money we could have done without having to hand over - he's only had this car 4 weeks.

Thoroughly hacked off. But I haven't snacked so far. Had a proper brekfast and have just had a proper lunch. I dealt better with the whole thing than DH.

    Thanks Apple :)

Bathroom has been chosen although I won't get the quote for a week. I already have the quote for the fitting, plastering etc so I can always choose less expensive fittings if it comes in too high. At the moment I've picked all the items I really want and will then downscale if necessary.

New sample of tiles have been picked up and I love them so think I'll be having them :)

Just popping in to say hello. First couple of weeks in March were awful. Every day something else went wrong or we had more bad news but we spent last week here in Northumberland with our friends and my son is now here for the weekend. After that we have a week here by ourselves. Planning long walks, nice healthy meals and a total destress. Hope you are all well. Hugs to those who need them and also those who don't. A hug is always good. Looking forward to the April challenge.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Today I am grateful for a good run on a clear and frosty morning, for a hot bath, for exploring a new path this afternoon, for the birdlife I saw, for a wonderful friend inviting mum over, for nutritious food, for dd getting awesome results in her dance exams last week, for more fabric combinations for bunnies (using up what I had bought the other day), for easy tv to watch that mum enjoys, for a good chat with dd and dh tonight.
