Evening...
Apologies for my absence over the weekend. I'm not sure what happened - felt blue all weekend. I seem to be like this around every full moon - a pattern I've noticed. I guess we are mostly water so it must affect us somehow?
Anyway - Bagged one NSD taking me to number 6 on Sunday... Otherwise - I did nothing. No exercise. Nothing productive other than laundry and cooking. Haven't been like that for a while. Anyway - picked myself up - tidied up my space, and threw myself into the week - though feeling pretty burned out and it's only Monday!I just have to get through tomorrow, have an early night, and reconnect with life on my day off on Wednesday.
I'm caught up on posts, and will re-join the daily challenges tomorrow evening...
Today I am grateful for:- A phone-call from Mum
- A good lecture at work
- Supportive colleagues

Greent loads of exercise.

Lauralozzle my little pony socks?
SkintTeacher I started buying coloured socks to stop the boys taking them. I was using some that DS3 had bought (he needs size 13- 15) but am currently losing them as I can't tell which are mine and which are Beloved's.
F0xh0les don't think I have ever worn stripy tights (prefer stockings generally or best of all long skirts so I can do without) bt i have worn fishnights.
I am definitely not firing on all cylinders today but had pottered along, washing has been out on the line, the chicken breasts were rinsed, marinaded and cooked and clean pots went back in the cupboards. Also made a temporary solution to a broken post to which one of the washing lines was attached.
Baking, cleaning the freezer and shopping can wait until tomorrow. Writing a list as there are a number of 'odd' items which need to be bought from individual shops.
Have decide the item I was making for mother's Day will not be ready (unless I make big compromises elsewhere - I am learning to be realistic) so need to do something else (big project can carry on to her birthday in August). I like the phrase 'Mothers are like buttons - they hold everything together. Will embroider that in a simple script then decide on embroidering the 'buttons' or just sewing real ones on.
Today I am grateful for pleasant weather, for getting things done despite being weak and wobbly (although did swear when I got back upstairs and had left the 2 l water bottle downstairs) and good food to eat (rice salad, chilli and salmon, broccoli and wedges). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Sorry I’ve not checked in for a while, had a bit of a cold so there was some napping and a few early nights going on for me. Unfortunately, during this time I took my eye of the MSE ways and overspent a bit in the shops picking up bits and pieces for convenience. However, I did stick to the outside bit of the challenge making sure I walked to where I was going whenever this was possible. Me and the little one also had a trip to the park. I managed to throw more money at the debt and I have now paid off over £1000 this year, woohoo!
Anyway I am feeling better now and trying to get back to my MSE ways. I have devised a meal plan for myself for the week ahead and I spent time yesterday and today batch cooking meals for the little one. I’m currently reading an enjoyable Jill Mansell book from the library, I do love a bit of chick litVSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
Had a productive weekend. Green bins start this week (To be emptied) so DH trimmed the bushes and filled the bin , I have a raised bed ( Garden) and I take flowers to family members in the cemetry every week so ive planned to put flowers in there to grow and cut, Was looking in wilkos for seeds and bulbs and my friend said she had loads in her garden that are already established that we can dig out and put in my garden to grow, so im going to ask other friends what they have, As well as saving money, I like this idea of having a "Friends Garden" of flowers.
Really feel for everyone struggling with bills for car repairs, My husband is a mechanic, and keeps all our family , friends and neighbours cars running really cheaply. don't know what we'd do without him ,
today im thankful for
thoughtfull friends on the same wavelength as me.

Hope things settle down soon Bob.
Have been reading but head is all fuzzy with the start of a cold so can't remember what I wanted to comment on.
Counting down the days until the end of the week and then holidays. Have managed to avoid going on a pre holiday shopping spree as have pretty much all I need already. Just need to get it all washed and packed over the next few evenings.
Today I am grateful for holidays being close, a family whatsapp group and life being much easier at work as things starting to come together for starting a big project0 -
Hello,
another SFD today and hopefully a swim at lunch time.
Finally managed some cleaning and tidying last night. Tonight I might start tackling the conservatory. Now that the sun is out more and spring is in the air I need to clear all the junk out and maybe make it usable. Plus I need it as a green house soon too.
Not sure what to do about the blinds in the conservatory though. They're the metal Venetian ones but every year they develop a layer of mould (?). They are not easy to clean and there are loads (there are about 10m worth of them). Not sure what we could replace them with that is inexpensive and maybe easier to wash (roman blinds, roller blinds?).DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
