Thankyou mothernerd. I admit that I'm not really in a good place at the moment, but I am ensuring I write down 10 gratitudes, as it makes me look deeper at the day and appreciate it more.
Today I am grateful for being able to pay a little more off the mortgage, for a good run, for playing pinball with dd (it's the one I used as a child that we brought back from dad's), for the EPA having registered, for getting a slippery pupil to do his last speaking test, for the magnolia trees and forsythia (sp?) giving the cherry trees a run for their money, for bumping into some other girls on the way to brownies which cheered dd up, for dh having recorded the weekend's rugby for me, for some free pears - a little battered but will make a yummy crumble, fordd's white jeans - that she decorated with her sharpies- not leaching their colour in the wash, for having all that we need.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

This week not going so well with the NSD's.
Monday I needed soya milk so brought enough to last me a week at work.
Today DH needed medication and then some coke, crisps and choc landed in the basket as well.
So still sitting on 5 for the month.
Hoping tomorrow will be a NSD.0 -
Mothernerd You have such an amazing memory
Thank you for the wise and comforting words.
It's not exactly cash flow this time. I like many thousands of others have been hit by an enormous hike in business rates. I am challenging it but it is just the latest in a long line of enormous kicks in the gut, and right now I'm not sure what I want. Thanks again for what you've said. It all makes sense." Evening everyone,
A NSD over here, my 5th of the month.
I've read a bit more of my book this evening, two thirds of the way there now. Was hoping to finish by tomorrow so I could return it to the library when I took the little one to bookbug but it's definitely not happening as I'll be hitting the sack after this entry!
Been a good girl and done some surveys today. I also cashed out on a couple of sites and I now have £4.71 in Paypal, £1.90 bank transfer and a £5 Amazon voucher.
Sent an email to my boss today requesting a reduction in days/hours when I return to work from maternity leave around June/July. Hopefully it'll be approved although I will find the drop in salary a bit of a shock.VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
A NSD yesterday but not today. Had a doctors appointment this morning and have been advised to cut out dairy for a month to see if that helps me so popped to the supermarket to get various dairy free things. OH happy as he gets any chocolate in the house to himself
. Also got some stuff for the flat.
Today I'm grateful for some time out in the garden, getting more things done in the flat, a day off work and an easy freezer tea.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Great news on the vacuum cleaner, Calling
Bob - I see elsewhere that you are determined to fight the increase - well done for coming to a decision - we're all behind you - not much help in physical reality, but we can be a virtual support group for you x
NSD yesterday. Tues are busy evenings so didn't get a chance to report in. Did day 1 of couch to 5k followed by Zumba - and am feeling it this morning! (fitness levels are appalling!)
Re use it or lose it - I do Zumba at £6 for 2 sessions/ week/ £4 for 1 - payg so no money lost if I don't go. Other exercise is free - HIITs from yoootoob, the crosstrainer we have (rarely used), some light weights we've had since pre children(!) and - if I keep it up - running outside. Must admit, if I do keep the running up I'd like OH to look at getting a treadmill (waaay down the line)
Yesterday's thankfulness:
* getting my summer shifts in from school no 1
* lovely weather
* making myself get out before Zumba - it's so easy to come up with an excuse why not to go!
* being able to do some more debt busting
* free MnS £100 gift card from OH's assignment as a reward for recommending someone who got a job there - saving towards school uniform purchases in the Summer!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200
