Excellent, well done SpekyHappy Monday folks.
Will unsubscribe to emails as they try to attack me.
Grateful for
Weight this am from 13st to 12st 11lbs
Having a short week in work
Friend drilling holes in my new plant pot
Reminds me of the "I try to take one day at a time - but sometimes a lot of days rush at me, all at once."
Sorry you have been ill again, hope the day off helps. I would check with the doctor if it continues, just in case.
Splendid weight loss.thriftylass wrote: »Hello again (after my usual weekend forum abstinence).
Finished my DIY projects (guest bedroom and boiler room). So this week I will restore order, i.e. tidy up all the tools and materials, catch up with the cleaning and tidying in general that has been neglected and either read or craft in the evenings. Also got some weeding done in the garden.
Hooray for productive weekends. I'm afraid some of my tools are still up here (in their room so barely accessible). However I've only recently managed to move out the last of the craft stuff from under the stairs (was waiting for DS3 to re-arrange the front room so that my cube shelves could go where I originally intended).
Tools live under the stairs (in theory)
My garden needs work but (under my new work smarter, not harder regime) I have decided the first step will be to squirt path weedkiller (the only commercial weedkiller I use) on the cracks in the paths and bits of the walls where things are growing up - nowhere near where my crops will be. It may not do the whole job but will make it easier.
F0xh0les yay to safe transport.
Who stole my morning? Have frightened myself by going in the kitchen - so much to do:eek:
3 point strategy
1 Found a towel that Beloved had used for her hair (and left on the floor in their room) and put it over the huge puddle (floor still slopes so puddle is not where the freezer is
2 Retrieved rice salad from fridge, got a spoon and retreated to bed (need to refuel and pause to think)
3 Focus about the task I am going to do when I have eaten - and only that one. Going to put some of the washing on the line as there is sunshine somewhere behind those grey clouds. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Day Thirteen
Use It or Lose It
Slightly off topic (but pertinent to the thread) This is
The (anti) Shopping List
Before you buy anythingconsider if you could
1 Recycle
2 Upcycle
3 Borrow
4 Salvage
5 Repair
6 Do Without
7 Buy Secondhand
8 Create
9 Swap
10 Grow
Not suggesting that you use one of these today but plenty of food for thought. The old Gaia guide was shorter (some of those categories are fairly synonymous) but also included (when a purchase must be made) can you buy it from a charity and lastly buy from a co-op.
Wellbeing Day Thirteen
Send an encouraging text to 5 people.
Think that's a bit onerous (I can't text on the new phone - had only just learned on the old one). Think of an encouraging message for your fellow turtles.

Had to pay out today an admin fee 3.99 in the hope of resolving and getting a replacement hoover. So much hassle now need to take photos of it. Fingers and toes crossed.
So my SFD now to 3/15.
Haven't moved from my chair today and it looks lovely outside. Will fit a walk in after work.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
NSD today (not yesterday - small spend at different smkt - already taken account of in sig) Volunteered for 4 hours this morning and brought a bootful of rubbish and recycling home to go in my recycling/ black bin ( we only produce less than a kitchen bin of waste a week, so there's always loads of room in my bin) and a pile of paperwork (:() Grabbed a quick lunch from ready prepped food yesterday and then did around 45 mins of ironing (inc some bedding) School pick up number one, then a quick Joe Wicks HIIT and then school pick up number 2. Will shower after smallest is in bed as may fit in a quick session on cross trainer if I can be bothered/ my legs will stand it! Dinner is a HM read meal form the freezer, so that's an easy sort
I have a load of washing almost dry on the line (beautiful day here after a frosty start) so will look to iron that later on if I can find something suitably mindless on the tv
I like fun socks - today's, however, are not so fun -looking ombre style in greys. V comfy though
Today I am thankful for:
* my neighbour taking my parcel in whilst I was out volunteering
* a quick chat with some mums at school to find out some info about a performance DS2 is in
* beautiful weather

Went for our weekly shop which was £30 rather than the usual £50 as still lots of food to be going on with. Because we needed so little a few treats went in but if we deprived ourselves we'd just give up in the long run. We love our food!
Took little man to a toddler class which was £3 and def money well spent. Got me a 2 hour break as it wore him out. Like a little exercise class
Other than that just jobs on the house- general tidying and a new roof now on our little brick shed. Did a yougov survey and now 25p off a £50 cheque :j Ipsos one is building up quickly - already got a £5 voucher I can claim and nearly up to the next one.
I did some email unsubscribing ( I get so many I tend to miss half of the important ones) found one reminding me I'd not claimed my meerkat or 2 for 1 cinema tickets yet so that is done.
I'm wearing bright, mustardy yellow Christmas socks with gingerbread men and one stray penguin on each
My words of encouragement are:-

Today I've got pink my little pony socks on
Today has been a NSD - so I'm now at 7/15. Nearly half way!
Today has felt like a long day at work - but I've got lots done, and I'm pretty up to date with everything. I just need to keep slogging through to get my flexi back into positive figures! I'm currently minus 5 hours!!!
Today I'm grateful for the fact I had made and prepared my lunch. It was easy to grab. Also grateful that I made loads because tomorrow's lunch is sorted too.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

So NSD on Saturday and my usual mandatory groceries and petrol on Sunday.
 well done. It's so hard to decline fun stuff. Hope you still had a great weekend.0 -

Funnily enough I'd already sent 3 encouraging texts today, so I'll scout out 2 more.
I'm a very boring sock person - black or sports socks for me. But i like the sentiment.
I'm grateful for many things today:
1) a walk to work and from work AND a 45 minute walk at lunch to see all the beautiful spring flowers and breath the fresh, clear air - although this now means all my marking must be done now instead!
2) a (relatively) tantrum - free evening. Struggling at the moment, 4 yo has re-discovered the word 'no'
3) my weight is steady but I can feel the difference in muscle tone and strength so I've decided to stop weighing myself for a bit and concentrate on healthy intake and lots of exercise
4) I asked my mum over tonight and it was lovely to chat
5) OH has taken the bait (I invented some work-based reason) and swapped his shift so his friends can 'casually' turn up at work and take him off for his stag do. Also arranged with his boss to cover the shift (teehee). Grateful for their cooperation.
6) chats with colleagues
hope everyone is ok x x x SkintTeacher x x x0 -

Today I am grateful for a sunny day with a crisp edge to it, for beng able to run, for my y9s being out on a trip (shame...), for my y10s really going for it with their spoken French, for dd and next door playing together, for dd's artistic skills (not from me - even my stick men do not look like sticks...), for getting home early, for dh cooking tea, for birdsong, for living where there is a good, nay excellent, bus service.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
