    Hi,
I was also duped into buying the Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version @ £31.99..However, I am yet to receive the item. The website seems to have gone down and after trying to contact them through PayPal, the messages aren't getting through (the email account will also have been closed). Can anyone offer me any advice as to what to do next?

    Thanks, David

Have you actually contacted paypal? Did your paypal funds come through your credit card or bank? They'll be the next ones to contact.

  • Have tried ringing the no above for esoftwareworld.com and not surprised to learn that it is unrecognised.
I would also suggest that the details are fake.
I have also e-mailed paypal today and raised a dispute.
I have to say that I am not very confident.
The fact that the first website has disappeared only to be replaced by another angers me more than the loss of money.
This company/vendor will continue to defraud people out of their money until they are stopped.

I know what you mean, I'm not even a customer (I bought my office 2007 cheaply and legitimately direct from the MS ultimate steal site) and I'm peeved that this guy is finding it so easy to rip people off. Software piracy is bad enough and selling it as pirated software is worse, but I consider this to be even worse still, selling pirated software as legitimate to unsuspecting customers so people who wouldn't ordinarily want anything to do with illegal software aren't getting something genuine and are inadvertedly funding software piracy.

  • Have also fallen for this scam although only lost £17.99 on Office 2003 - wish I'd investigated the offer further before buying.
Have started a dispute via Paypal and reported the illegal selling on the original and new site. Have also reported to ebay which was where I found the sponsored link. Pity ebay/amazon, etc., didn't check the company out before taking their sponsorship money.
Have taken advantage of the 'ultimate steal' offer via the Microsoft site but, of course, this only applies to eligible students with a .ac.uk email address. I did have problems with the download/installation but, once that was sorted, it's been plain sailing since.

One thing is for certain, the price seems to good to be true, but can anyone let me know how you DEFINITELY know that exisoftware and esoftwareworld.com are the same?, i mean run by the same ppl?

Website structure exactly the same, same registrar, popped up exactly same time as other one went down, same catalogue offered, same prices. It seems highly unlikely that it would be just coincidence, but even if it was it's still the same outcome. Pirated software. They're illegally using "Ltd" in their name so they're already a false company. They've supplied false contact details. The website has only just been set up yet they claim to have lots of customers etc etc. All of this is the exact MO of the other website as well. It's impossible to say with 100% certainty it's the same people but I haven't seen a single thing to distinguish between the two sites.

  • For Perennialgardener and OTHERS- Some good news, I started a paypal dispute at lunchtime today and 'escalated' it immediately, pasting in this forum as a reference. Bingo, received email from Paypal saying funds have been credited back to me. Restored my faith in Paypal at least, also this forum :T
  • What about this one then? http://www.softwarecds.co.uk/index.htm

At least in the FAQs he does make it kind of obvious that it is not genuine software:

"Is it a holographic disc with certificate?
It is not on a holographic disc and does not come with a certificate, box or manual. You get the full version software including serial number and installation instructions. The software can be used as a backup copy of the original disc, a replacement disc or for evaluation purposes."

Sounds like he's trying to use some sort of "legal" get out clause but fails miserably in that he is supplying serial numbers as well.

Hi just wondering if you can advise me where to download the trial? I have found how to purchase the Perpetual license! Thanks.
