I'm sorry that we weren't able to offer you and your wife the deals you were looking for.
As you'll appreciate, our sales staff will do as much as they can to offer our customers the best deal possible.
Kind regards,

Social Media Comms
Vodafone UK
I know that is what you say but it simply isn't true. My point is that the decent deals are offered to new customers; the ones who have stuck with you for years are viewed as almost an inconvenience. My partner had two offers for the same phone with the same plan from VF, one to her when she first called for the PAC code (that wasn't sent to her until after a week of chasing) and then one, through me, when I called for my PAC code and enquired about deals for both of us. The second offer for her was £6pcm higher than the first one she had been offered four hours beforehand. The same phone, data package, minutes, contract length, everything!!!0 -
Contract (24months with a phone, 50% off for the term)up in October 2014.
Thought i'd see if any offer was available,
I have been offered
Untld min/text and 5gb 4g data = Red L sim only
includes the spotify/netflix/sports option
for £15.50 a month for 12 months
best of all thats from now for 12 months so they've written off the remainder of the contract i had left - which in itself has shaved more off the monthly cost.
As I have access to a pm virgin sim (long story - i use a dual sim phone as the data/mins on my old voda just werent enough so i was paying around £21 for the two sims) £7 1200min/unltd text+data, I'm not sure whether to do nothing and go to virgin when the voda contract is up.
Virgin have slightly worse signal ,usable in 80% of the building, where i work and their EU roaming isn't as good as voda £2 a day - virgin 's data raoming isn't great value
And, virgin don't offer call divert so "roamer" isn't an option either.
Not sure what to do!
Decisions,decsions
On pure maths alone it's
12x£15.50 for 12m voda only
or
£21 pm (voda+virgin)until October then £7pm just on virgin 30day rolling contract - virgin is giving more call drops than voda for me i find.
My data would never go over 2gig a month0 -
Got offered a free Z2, unlimited texts and minutes, 3gb of 4G data with 6 months of Netflix/Sky Sports/Spotify for £34 a month instead of £43 (although the £43/month is apparently with 4gb data).
Not too bad given that's just the renewals people I spoke to but I think I'd prefer to get the SIM free deal others have quoted or just a better price on the Z2 though.0 -
Looking to buy a new phone via EBay and staying SIM only. Are there any pitfalls you can tell me if I do this? Thanks.0

You need to be careful when buying phones off eBay, they could be blacklisted for being stolen or when the network has cancelled them due to unpaid bills etc.
If you're going to buy a phone off eBay, always try to buy one from someone that has been trading a while and has a really good feedback score. Make sure that the phone is either specifically unlocked legitimately (this removes the possibility of it locking again after software upgrades) or that it's on the network that you're going to be buying your SIM only plan from.
It is good to see if you can get the IMEI off the seller too, and run it through an IMEI checking service that will tell you if it is blacklisted or locked to a specific network etc.
With the SIM only plans, Voda's aren't that great to be honest. You can't get a 4G plan on their 30-day plans and to get 4G on the 12 month plans you will be paying £26 per month at least and then you only get 3GB of internet (which is nothing IMO).
If you're going to buy the handset seperately and get a SIM only I'd shop around and maybe look at other networks. Unless you've been with Voda a while and can get a nice deal.
One other thing, with regards to 4G, it is worth checking with the network if you can get in your area. And if you can, get hold of someone that has a 4G plan with your preferred network and see what sort of coverage they get and their speeds0 -
Grrr
Just phoned 191 for my PAC on one of my 3 contracts I explained why I was leaving as my hubby has seen a £9 a month over 12 mths, 750 mins, 5000 texts and 1GB of data at our local tesco's. The operator assured me they could do a better deal as I'm such a good customer and have 3 contracts with them she duly put me through to a gentleman who proceeded to tell me the best he could offer was £10.40 a month for 12 mths which included 900mins, Unlimited texts and 750mb data. which effectively meant the first operator acting on behalf of vodafone completely lied in her assurances. I pointed out i was also going to take out a 4th contract for my daughter on a sim only 12 mth contract this seemed to make no difference. So unfortunatley it looks like we are heading to tesco with 2 of the contracts.
Vodafone moderators i would definatley like your help with this and you to contact me also can you tell me does A Lyttleton nolonger work for vodafone loyalty team I had an email address he gave me to contact him when i wanted to change my husbands contract but he has never replied to the emails I have sent so wondered if maybe he nolonger works there?0 -

I think Vodafone phone you back after you request your PAC to offer you the best deals, rather than being put straight through - unless something has changed? Possibly you will get a phone call soon offering you improved offers.0 -
I have two contracts with Vodafone and these are the deals I was offered...
UK minutes: UNLIMITED
UK texts: UNLIMITED
UK data: 4GB
Normally £31,
Offered for: £15.50
UK minutes: UNLIMITED
UK texts: UNLIMITED
UK data: 4GB
Normally £41,
Offered for: £22.4
I was told I would get 12 months free netflix, spotify or Sky sports.
After I took the deal it turns out only 6 months for Netflix.0 -
