    Got another phone call...

Rep: ...blah blah... I'm the last point of contact between Voda and you leaving, I can beat any deal you can get on the highstreet etc...

Moi: Good news, 3 will offer me 300mins, ultd texts and ultd web for £15pm, on a rolling deal.

Rep: Er um *wrings hands* um, yeah can't get near that.

Moi: OK, whats the closest you can get?

Rep: We can do 600mins, ultd texts and ultd web for £20pm for 12 months

Moi: The one off the web that's available to anyone?

Rep: Yes, there is no movement on SIM free deals

  • To the Vodafone Rep. No thanks, theres no point for you to look into it, ive already had someone from your department "look into it" although username talkalot got the nokia n900 for £30 p/m on an 18 month contract, i'm not worthy of getting that contract even though ive been with vodafone for 8 years. In fact i dont want that contract anymore, i'd rather move to a network that will appreciate my loyalty. I have my PAC code now and just waiting for my contract to end now.

Lol rusty you've noticed the fake sales spiel too eh "we can get you the cheapest deals possible" "we appreciate your loyalty and do all we can" blah blah, then they give you deals you can find on the internet for new customers lol, utter joke.
  • Hi There

chilly9876 - As an upgrade can be very account specific I won't be able to go over this on the forum with you. I also wouldn't be able to confirm what other customers received or why.

If you'd like us to look into this further for you, I'd be happy to. Feel free to reply to our last email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

consumers_revenge - When we arrange for discounts on price plans as part of an upgrade they almost always stop in the last 3 months of your contract so that they don't interfere with any upgrade quotes when you come to renew you contract. This is something that you should have been advised of at the time

So that I can look inot this further for you could you send me an email from here with a link to this thread and your username? Make sure when you send it you include the code WRT135 in the subject so that it comes straight to us.

Tuddsy - I'm not sure why these calls are dropping as soon as you answer. If you'd like me to I can either arrrange for these to be stopped or arrange for a callback from my team to be made. If you would like me to do either of these things just drop me a quick email following the instructions above and I'll get back to you.

    All the best

    Hi

I have a question my Voda contract finished 5 Feb. When I asked in Dec 09 they told me I would loose the signal that day and bill for 1-4 Feb would be produced a few days later. 5 feb signal still there so I emailed Webform who had given me the orginal info. No reply but signal disappeared next day. I used to get my bills on line but as I now dont have a contract with Voda how will I get my last bill?

    Hi all,

    N20Y1D -

The early upgrade times have changed across the board and this will apply to both existing contracts and new customers. As early upgrades (Previously 60-70 days. Now 50 days.) do not form port of your contractual agreement it is also not part of your Terms & Conditions. If you were looking to upgrade soon and have been effected by the change, please feel free to contact us on the link below and we will do everything that we can to help.

(When contacting, please quote the code WRT135 in the subject line. In the main message, please include a link to this thread and your user name. This will ensure that your message comes directly to our team.)

    TREVORCOLMAN -

If you could contact us on the link that I have provided above, we will be able to help you with accessing your last bill.

    Thanks,

Sorry but in my opinion it is part of the contract as the 60 days upgrade period was used as a selling point by yourselves in discussions when prior to agreeing to the contract.

Just to let you all know, I finally recieved a call from Vodafone with a rep willing to give me the deal i wanted.

So my advice is, stick to your guns they'll tell you the deal can't be done a few times. Once they're convinced that you'll leave and aren't just trying to get a great deal, if you've been with vodafone long enough and spent enough they'll give you what you've asked for.

I am on Price plan Anytime Blackberry 700 Minutes, Mobile Internet, 250 Texts and Unlimited Landline Calls with Vodafone Passport Cost £29.79 + VAT (=£35)

I have a Blackberry Bold that is pretty much falling apart as a result of general wear and tear and would like to replace it with a new BB Bold.

I am on an 18 month contract and the website says I am eligible for an upgrade mid-March ( think I took out the contract Nov / Dec 2008).

If I upgrade to a new BB Bold, will I be offered the same tariff with the same benefits or a completely new trariff ?

Should I be trying to neogitate for a lower price / better deal, and if so what can I reasonably expect (if relevant I have little additonal usage throughout the contract over and above the included allowances, and actually dont use / need most of the mins and texts, as most use is via BB messaging) ?

I understand that if I upgrade at T-50days, I will be locked into a new 18 month +50 day contract. Is it likely that I can get a new contract that is no longer than the 18 months (without the added 50 days) ?

Will I do better doing all this closer to the end of the contract ?
  • And most importantly of all - to get the best deal - dont press the ' i want to upgrade' option on the telephone system, press the option for 'wanting to cancel' ! The sales dept have less powers to discount than the cancellations dept.

Thanks for tht Tip.. Ok I need some help.
My current 18 Month SIM only contract is ending nxt month.. considering the fact that I used to pay £30- £40 a month..will I get some good upgrade deals? Please explain to me..:T
