Frodders, I do hope you don't have the same cold as OH and me. It lasts 3 - 4 weeks, and I'm sick of it and bored with it. *healing vibes*
Glad your workmen turned up Jazee. Power to their elbows and all that, so they get finished really, really quickly.
Dizzy, words completely fail me. I so hope the op can go ahead. Have a (((hug))). Interesting that so many Flyladies have mother issues; I normally feel very sad, lonely and embarrassed that I can't share everyone's delight in their mother/daughter relationship. It's now sadly comforting that I'm amongst a group of people who can acknowledge it's a realtionship that is beyond difficult.
Healing vibes for your toothache Kazwookie.
Stairs getting a drubbing today and I'm finishing up the paperwork. It's been hanging around like a bad smell. The more I do the more it seems to generate.Better is good enough.0 -
Been round mils, quick dysoned round, a furniture move to make the radiator more assessable in the spare room for the airing racks to go in front of. Bird feeder stand moved from back to front garden and all washed out and filled up. Should keep her happy for a while. My dentist check was ok even the X-ray part of the check revealed nothing amiss apart from being told I grind my teeth at night so need to stop. Dh needs a filling and has an abscess so may also need a crown. Nipped down chemist and got hima thumb brace as constantly using phone at work has given him a rather painful trigger thumb.
Going to do leek and potato soup for tonight once I've finished knitting up this ball of wool, next door neighbour's DD is expecting imminently so I'm speed knitting a blanket that I've been delaying for monthsSPC~12 ot 124
In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Some bits have been achieved today - the sunshine has helped a lot:
- stripped our bed
- WMx3
- prepared for tomorrow's lectures
- worked on my essay for about 1.5 hours
- cooked a batch of mince for lasagne/bolognese
- S&S'd kitchen
- delivered 2 birthday cards to Old Wives and a college library book to one of my fellow-students: he has kindly offered to return it tomorrow, in case I don't get there :A Took DH with me and...
- stopped off at the park on the way home so that we could walk round the big pool and go for coffee and cake
at the excellent cafe
Bumped into some friends
- wanted to stay outdoors a bit longer, so planted out the 3 hellebores that I bought recently
Still to do:
- send 2 emails
- at least another 1.5 hours studying
- watch the sunset
- re-make our bed
- cook steak and chips for tea (early Valentine's meal)
- fold washing
- help DH pack his overnight bag
- make up my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow, and sort reading material to take with me
- put out the bins and recycling bags
- have an early night - early start tomorrow
Yay to the workmen arriving, Jazee!
GWS vibes for your DS, ATB, and stay-well vibes for the rest of you.
Hope the toothache settles down soon, Kaz.
Anti-pong vibes for HB's paperwork.

Afternoon all.
Mrs MP, will you be getting a gum shield to help you stop the teeth grinding?
Mother/daughter relationships - as I have been determined not to be like my mother, me and DD have a great time together and I'm grateful for that.
So the workmen have put right the damage caused last week and we have a new toilet and sink sort of fitted, so progress of kinds. I am assured it will all be done by Monday next week.
I have done a day's paid stuff, walked the dogs again and cleared up after the workmen. Dinner is now cooking.
Catch up with you all tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Everyone's been so busy!
I've read through but not all of it has stayed in, so sorry to those that I miss...
Hope DS is getting better and no-one else has got the lurgy ATB.
Good wishes and luck vibes to Iona and your DH for tomorrow.
Hope things improve in Dizzyland soon
Not much flying today here, as at work all day. WM run and DH hung the towels out to dry as he was at home. DW now on. Veggie lasagne made and kitchen sort of tidied up. Kitchen floor swept (still not mopped!! Maybe this week...) and bins out for the morning.
Day off tomorrow :T0 -
Have only quickly read thread but 'better week' vibes to all of you struggling with lurgy/mothers/husbands/kids/work/BD.
- Started today with one load in WM.
- Went to Clubbercise (late, as in a before-leaving-home toilet visit I turned the bathroom knob and it came off in my hand!! Hung out of the window yelling for Mr N who was in the garden. He found it hilarious and reminded me of the song about old ladies locked in the lavatory...)
- Went to lunch with a friend, but we did have a professional discussion about a student she had referred to me, so I can document that as CPD.
- filled bird feeders
- put away a load of washing
- changed bedlinen
- cleared floordrobe including a pile of paperwork which has been there for ages. Mostly binned.
- vacuumed bedroom and en suite.
- emptied all waste baskets in house
- dealt with various work emails
- finishing a report now until.....whenever I finish it. Must be tonight.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Rising my head out of lurkdom once again to join in, lets see how long I can keep it going this time!

Evening - not been into work today due to cold and don't think I'll be in tomorrow either. The cold itself seems to be improving but I have ulcers on my tongue and a very red, swollen throat both of which are painful

Very limited flying today as I didn't even get out of bed until early afternoon

Thanks HB - I know several people who have had lingering colds this winter. Hope you and OH get rid of yours soon x
