Good evening (or should that be morning?) all - after a rather long enforced hiatus (ill health) I am now back to comping and enjoying reading this thread as much as I used to . The compassion & caring for others on here always make me feel better! Good luck for the :xmastree: comps and beyond,

Well done on the tree leanfun, great win. Welcome back Mad Hatter, good luck comping. It's dry but cold here today, cars seem to be clear of ice so no scrapping needed today. I am hoping to get living room moved around today ready for putting christmas tree up next week. Hope you all have a lucky day.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Brrrrrr! It's a chilly start to the day here, it's going to be
sunny but doubt that there will be any warmth - best get
out for a brisk walk later to warm up the bones a bit! :p

Just found a WEM. I've won a Christmas tree and it'll be delivered too! We have an artificial one in loft but had wondered about a fresh one as we always used to have. Wow.

Wonderful to hear that your neighbour popped round to see
you leanfun - she's doing amazingly well. :A

You are most welcome re the link - have been making a list -
some very scrumptious food on the site - love everything with
a Scottish connection - always reminds me of my mum. :A

:T :j Very well done on your brilliant win! :xmastree:

I have a very old artificial tree that I get out every year. It's
moulting quite badly now and a lot of the 'branches' are starting
to look bare  so it really should be binned. I quite like the
idea of going back to buying a fresh Christmas tree now.

again. So sorry to hear that you've been unwell of late - hope
you're feeling a bit better now. :A Sending lots of good luck
and best wishes back to you. :D xxx

Hi Katie! Sounds as if you had a very busy and productive
day yesterday. :j Finding out about free courses (after
Christmas) is such a brilliant idea. :T xxx

Well - time for another cuppa me thinks before my day
    starts.

Have a lovely and lucky Wednesday all and please take care
    whatever you're up to. :)

Thanks all re tree. I had a lovely reply from Velocity girl it was the first time she had heard of a win from her postings. Alfie we too had some old trees we scrapped when we redecorated lounge. Then one year DD2 and SIL came and bought us new big artificial tree and trimmings but I had thought of real tree this year. DD2 still recalls us going shopping and seeing real six foot trees on a market stall and the two of us carrying it home. we couldn't get on bus with it. DH normally used to go and put tee in car but hadn't that year.

Indie I was just thinking we aught to change room around as artificial tree was near radiator. pleased you had no ice escaping this morning. Its taking us a few days to get used to the new heating hive but think we have cracked it now.

Hi Mad Hatter13 sorry to hear you have been ill. Good luck coming.

Katie sounds as though you have been busy great idea to be organised for after Christmas.

Forgot to say I had the iron blow out on me on Monday. I was ironing and talking to DS and then a loud bang I put iron down and apart from a black mark near my wrist, which washed off, I was fine. There was quite a big flame like a benson burner flame but when DS turned electricity off thankfully it went out. lo. DH had car back last Friday with everything repaired.

Well onward and upwards with trying to catch up on the board.

    Good luck everyone.

Sheils big Hugs. Sorry to hear this. It's freezing cold and dark here it's usually the other way around with the weather. At least you have been able to go for a walk.
