Managed to book two sale nights with Village Hotel for April in N Wales which I am pleased about. The sale isn't that exciting TBH but hopefully they are keeping their best offers until the New Year sale.
Hope everyone managed to find some nice Black Friday bargains.

Enjoy your night Katie. Sounds like you have some exciting events to go to.

HI to Rose ice to meet you, sorry you have been poorly. Chips on a friday are a must here. xx
Alfie thanks for the lovely hedgehog link (I am teaching RSPB and WWF to various kiddies at the moment) Huge animal lover, will look at the amazon wishlist and see if I can help xx Glad you are unblocked x
Wingo awesome win just in time!! Do you have plans on what to spend it on? x
Firefly..snow arrrgh exciting 6 year old hasn't seen anything other than a sprinkle not enough for a snowman anyhow. My cousins moved to Sa and then Back home again when they where 30 and i still recall the glee of their first snow that year ha.
Black Friday deals £300 off a holiday to Rome for a week, so for 6 of us with flights is just under £100 each. Super happy with that it's a nice caravan site Eurocamp and its for mums 60th so something a bit special.
Having a 2 day break from comping just wanted some time out but did some lovely knitting and managed to watch 1984 (I had no idea Rab c Nesbitt was in it!) and The lone ranger remake whilst I let the boys play rare pc games for 3 hours heaven!
Off to London Transport museum Monday for some workshop that has eluded me what we are doing. It's in Covent Garden so will look forward to seeing the musicians and Christmas decs. Hopefully, try to fit in the Paddington trail.
Much love to all ..putting the lads to bed then going to watch yet another film, love lazy days! xxCompers challenge 27/70

Good morning and a very happy Stir-up Sunday to all.
Will anyone be making Christmas puddings today?
Fascinating link below .....
Stir-up Sunday: the Christmas pudding tradition that's
written into scripture
Counting down the days until Christmas? Then you may already be
well acquainted with Stir-up Sunday, which falls this Sunday on 26
November (the last weekend before Advent Sunday).
The custom involves the stirring of the Christmas pudding, made in
good time for it to mature over the following month, by each
member of a family. According to tradition, each participant is
encouraged to make a wish as they do so. (Delia Smith has said
that in her family it was tradition to stir in order from youngest to
eldest – although that could serve only to stir up sibling rivalry.)
So, why is it called Stir-up Sunday? The answer lays in the Book of
Common Prayer, where the Collect of the day for the Sunday
before advent reads:
"Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people;
that they, plenteously bringing forth the fruit of good works, may
of thee be plenteously rewarded."
For legions of churchgoers, this Collect carries two very different
meanings: a spiritual call to engage one's human will, and a very
practical reminder that it's time to make the Christmas pudding.
Today, Stir-up Sunday makes for a novel way to reconnect with the
meaning of Christmas, eschewing shop-bought products for a
more magical, homemade pudding. The ritual is laden with small
traditions that speak to the Christmas story. For example, the
pudding is supposed to be stirred from East to West in honour of
the wise men who travelled to Bethlehem. It's also said that there
should be a total of 13 ingredients in the dish in order to represent
Jesus and his twelve disciples.
The sprig of holly used as a garnish may even be seen as a
reference to the crown of thorns (a word of warning: holly berry is
poisonous, so faux foliage is probably a sensible option). >>>

It's a beautiful sunny day here now but we did have a visit from
Jack Frost earlier.
Oh no - poor squirrels fire**fly and naughty magpies!
So very sneaky but really intelligent birds though - especially
when stealing things! :rotfl::rotfl:
Have a wonderful time at the London Transport Museum
tomorrow mummy2threeboys. I also love Covent Garden -
it's such a vibrant part of London particularly during the
festive season. :xmassmile You are most welcome re my
hedgehog link - poor little things - still at least they're in
good hands now. :A Very well done on your bargain break
to Rome for a week - it sounds brilliant! :T
 Hi Katie - You are always in my thoughts, especially
at this time of year. :A Sorry to hear that you've been
unwell - sending (((hugs))). xxx Bet you had a wonderful
time yesterday handing out mince pies and mulled wine.
Sounds as if you are going to be a busy bee over the
festive season. :rudolf:
Time for another cuppa me thinks. Have a great Sunday all and
please take care whatever you're up to.

Good Afternoon all,
Been a nice day here so far but rain forecast for later. Had a nice long walk earlier.
Sounds like you got a holiday bargain mummy2threeboys. My kids were always unhappy we don't get snow here very often as next to the Gulf stream which makes the area milder. Plenty of rain usually though.
Poor squirrel FF but expect you will look after him if he runs out of food in the winter.
No-one apart from DH likes Xmas pudding Alfie so he usually buys himself a little one although never seems to eat it on Xmas day.
