Well I think this site is becoming a bit addictive I love coming on and hearing everybody's news.
OH laughs and says "oh no not on with your mates" but he is a sweetie and doesnt mind which is just as well as otherwise I might kill him.
The Shuffs and Red Ruby- I am thinking about you both I am absolutely hopeless about anything medical and only have to see Casualty to feel sick so hope all goes well with you both as I can only imagine how scary this must be. I had to have a lump examined about 10 years ago and found myself writing letters to all of my loved ones. It was all very low key in the hospital although I have never had my boobs "examined" so many times in 1 day. Anyway lump was chucked on a metal bowl and surgeon said " right got to go my wife wants me home early!!!!"
Congrats to MR MadDogWoman- What good news
Penny Pincher- Lots of love.
Well we took MIL over the moors amid sunshine and showes for her birthday lunch she loved it. Hd a lovely time as she is so appreciative BUT I do have a problem with food prices these days, We looked at the menu and all decided on the same-- it was all pricey. Anyway the plates arrived with 3 sausages, mashed potatoes, onions gravy and peas. It tasted really good but each portion was £7.85. I mean its Ok and we wouldnt have wanted to take her to a local cafe but where do half decent places get their prices from???
Anyway off to create a supper that will probably cost less than 25p a portion so that will redress the balance . NIght Night everyone have a happy eveningTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
DD(13) had school trip today and also tomorrow and had a "strop" this morning as she did not have a hooded jacket and it was raining!
Pointed out that if she had not been so picky and turned her nose up at everything I pointed out that she could have had a jacket weeks ago!
Then felt a bit guilty so went with DD(21) to choose a jacket so she had something suitable that she would actually like.
Finally found one at Dorothy Perkins so bought it and then treated ourselves to Nando's for lunch.
Came home and made others new potatoes and bratwurst for tea as we were still not hungry.
Going to see DD(18) at Newcastle tomorrow and bring her up a few bits and bobs she needs. She seems to have settled in at uni and as it is an older building the bedrooms are different sizes and she has got a large room so is delighted with that!
Hugs to pennypincher, JackieO, scuzz and everyone with medical tests etc to face.
Happy birthday to mr bad example and flittersnoops!

Hapy birthday to MRBE and Master flittersnoop i think - sorry I forget all the names by the time I've done reading - don't get offended though _ I do the same to my dd's who answer to casjazemz - that being an amalgamation of all three names.
difficult day at w*rk - two colleagues who rub each other up the wrong way - I wish they'd have a proper row but it's all schoolyard stuff at the moment - I can get that at home ta very much.
Penpin - sorry you're feeling down but it does sound like you have a lot on your plate at the moment so don't beat yourself up about ithelp yourself to a free hug with extras for anyone else needing one
OMG - a big massive herman (the real word begins with sp but I can't even type it) - exoh has bungled getting rid of it - he swears blind that he didn't drop it but I think he did and then made a big show about takeing a probably empty cup outside
OS-wise I have indeed managed to get exoh to treat us to fish and chips - it went like this
what time will you be round then
oh about seven
do you want to eat with us then
Oh ... well I don't mind
What! you don't mind! who's doing who the favour - oh yes it will be an honour to feed you - blah blah blah - on my limited income - blah blah blah etc. etc.
Look I'm sorry - didn't mean it like that - why don't I bring fish and chips for us all
Just as I planned - he's so predictable. The thing is he has never been without a woman to look after him - mum, matron and housemother, mum, gfs, me and now mum again and he really does think that we live only to serve
I have also meal planned properly this week and done 1 big shop which came to £22.58 - not bad as all the veggies were organic - must try to stay out of the supermarket for the rest of the week as in theory I have all I need for the weekI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Oh dear
I have been keeping an eye on you all today at work, took notes and have left them. It was not a good day at work so had to come home for a powernod.
My DH has hoovered downstairs today (but not done the polishing) but he feels so proud. Freezer defrost yesterday was fantastic but he forgot to wipe over with glycerine.
The well stacked defrosted freezer looks fantastic and he bought yellow sticker stuff today which I will need to sort out and bag. A bit of a drag feeling how I am but he has done so well.
Happy birthday to those (and offspring celebrating, so sorry to hear about you all with sleep problems I had too last night - a 2.30 up to the loo and crazy light sleep dreams thereafter), well, all of you having the appointments I am so so supportive and hope everything OK.
Love and hugs to everyone.

Evening all,
I have been cold all days...in spite of succumbing to the winter vest since Sunday...heat has been on and heading for bed soon I think.
Hugs to all who are not sleeping, not feeling well and with hospital appointments of one kind or another looming...PenPin, good to see you back but sorry you are still feeling bad. Anniestar, nice to hear that Phoebe is back to herself again.
Thanks to all for good wishes for DDIL..they are still not happy to discharge her and she was going mad...I was afraid that she would have another stroke...today they made a concession that they will assess her every morning and depending on that let her home for the day, only about 4 miles away but she can now collect DGS1 from school and spend some time at home with him and they can all three eat together when DS3 comes home from work...would not be surprised if she heads straight for work from hospital until she needs to be at the school, complete workaholic...nothing to be done as you can't sit on her! She needs to lose several stones in weight and eat more healthily...presently eats no fruit or veggies, so hopefully she will try at least.
Have been cooking crab apples all day...did a few last night, left dripping overnight and have about 4 lbs of jelly I think...not good at doing things in huge quantity, have slightly more draining now...jelly was lovely to-day, will have to make some soda bread in the morning to really enjoy it...great for figure of course. Trying to offload at least one of the bags on a neighbour, but they seem to be away atm so may just leave them at their door to-morrow with a note...OH says that I will never get it all done before Sardinia on Monday so I will have to stay behind...so he plans on going with no driver or interpreter...yeah, right!
Hugs to all who are not posting at the moment for whatever reason...trust that all is well with you and yours.
Love

Hope you are all well, I miss those of you who don't post on the other thread.
